Because that forum is largely ignored by players and Devs alike. All suggestions and ideas fill up GD, then devs respond here and make it worse by encouraging the abandonment of F&I.
Fix the problem by having devs frequent the F&I forum so that people actually post there and start discussing there. Or tell us to use the CSM (snort) or tell us to shut up and do your own thing (cos that worked out well before).
God knows what will fill GD after that tho....
Let this be the final suggestion. |

Plain and simple, the mod(s) need to be more aggressive in moving threads that are more on topic with F&I over to that folder. That's what really needs to happen. |

Or, just think about this, delete F&I and keep it here where everyone likes and wants it. Problem solved. Most people are in general, that's why it gets discussed here. You know, because there are actually enough people to discuss it. There aren't enough people in F&I to make it worth the effort.
And no, actively moving threads to F&I won't help it get more popular. It will just move potentially good ideas to a dead section of the forums, never to be seen again.
If you already know this is where people go for ideas(even CCP themselves) why are you bitching about it? Just post them here and get over it. |

The problem is less has less to do with the F&I forum and more to do with the people posting ideas. If people TOOK THE TIME to do a google search of "their idea," made an argument why it should be (and not, "why isn't this implemented?" or "this mechanic is stupid" or "[insert stats of a stupidly OP ship here]") , and didn't take criticism so personally (and claim that anyone who doesn't support their idea is a "Troll") then you'd see more discussion all around.
It goes both ways. And people who don't take the time to do research on their idea before posting don't deserve "good responses." Sorry.

I have always favored sticky threads full of compiled ideas(with the reason they are bad or not there, as well as a link to the thread where the idea is being discussed). Too bad mods tend to dislike compendiums of all the best targets to troll.

This is usually what happens but CCP miss seem to be on holiday at the moment so we are missing out on their usual filtering of junk.
