This is a trial balloon. i want to see if there's interest. Would you be interested in someone with great leadership skills and fleet command 4 joining your alliance or op to give you that edge in your next fleet battle? In about a month I'll have the skills to give 200 of my closest friends bonuses. i fly amarr and gallente commandships with the command ships 5 skill and and I have the information and armor warfare links.
Real simple deal. I work for ships. Buy me the cs of my choice and I hang out with you for a week giving your ships awesome armor bonuses or giving you that crucial ew edge. I noticed that at least some large alliances almost no one has the Fleet Commander skill and that of the people who do a lot don't have the desirable gang skills and implants. Now, not a problem. Just Rent An FC!
It's a little less than a month before the skills are finished training so i am seeing if there's interest in a service like this. if not I'll probably just app to some big corp who'd appreciate my skills. Don't let me work for your competition! Let me know now and you'll be the first to get the advantages I can offer you. Anyway I'm interested in what people think. Let me know!

Ouch. 63 looks, no replies and topic has slipped to the 2nd page. The people have answered with deafening silence. I guess I'll go to jita and hump some veld. :)

Oh, and who in their right mind is going to buy you a command ship for a week of service?

Good points. Yes, I am impatient. Can't dispute that. As for the command ship for a week. This service is aimed at large corps and alliances who can muster 200 man fleets and probably can get the CS at cost. I'm sure BoB, AAA, Redswarm and others have the resources to buy one measly ship if it gives them a huge advantage. If you have seen what a damnation pilot with an armor warfare mindlink can give to all the pilots underneath him it's not inconsiderable. I know the bonuses I've given the pilots underneath me in the past have meant life and death.
Anyway I've said all along this is a trial to see if there was interest in such a service. If there is great. if not I'll find a good corp and alliance to take my skills to and let them reap the benefits. Thanks to all who at least read my thread.

most alliances that can get command ships at cost also probably have guys with FC skills as good or better than yours, so your whole operation is self-defeating
i should also add that most people wouldn't put their hands in some random guy they hired for the price of a commandship

Fair criticisms. But I know from past experience that really high levels of leadership skills aren't necessarily all that widespread. As time goes on more and more people will have them but my personal experience has led me to believe there might be a market here.
As for trust I've been playing since before Exodus and have been involved hundreds of battles. Serious clients would be given the name of the character which would actually be involved in the battle and would be shown the relevant skills. It would be up to them whether to trust a hired hand or not. Trust and reputation are the life's blood of any mercenary operation. And that's what this is, a very mercenary service. If a corp or alliance is interested in the service the determination would be up to them. If you're having a huge fleet battle and you don't have someone with great leadership skill that's a huge advantage you're missing.
As for the price of a commandship it's very simple. I like t2 ships and I have decided I hate the monotony of grinding and mission running. As any experienced player can figure out if grind for a week doing missions or mining or belt ratting you can easily afford the price of a cs. I'm just tired of grinding. So pay me in a shiny t2 ship of a my choice and i'll make your fleet better for a week. Anyway thanks for reading and the reponses. Even though they've been negative so far it's useful to gauge interest. I was bored and thinking of trying something new. Thanks for discussing it with me.
