Edited by: Shevar on 28/01/2004 19:39:18 8 important mission, 7 implants, 1 bs mission and for the rest totally nothing, zilch zip nada... (ive been through roughly 100 missions after the patch this afternoon)
Sure standing increase and loads of implants are nice but with these drop rates prices will go down soon. And now with the even more crappy payments then usuall and no more components/tools give outs with decent ammounts of mega (tools have been nerfed) why would i ever continue doing missions? They have become now rather, erm, boring repetative and longwinded...

It looks like CCP nerfed agent standing gains. Compare the % gain on the missions you have done today to the same missions you have done for a month. Also ISK reward has been nerfed as well.

Patch notes said rewards for courier missions had been "raised across the board". What they didn't say was that rewards for all other missions were nerfed to hell...
Level 3 important kill mission (Caldari detective) for a *total* reward (inc bonus) of 45k. Goods acquisition missions where if I get the goods at the cheapest place in sector, I stand to make 13k - and that after a 14 jump mission! Minerals that now not only need to be acquired but also hauled - and then paid less than we were before. And this is with an agent with EQ in the high 30s and faction of 6+.
I'd estimate I'm getting less than half the rewards I was pre-patch - and that's not including the loss of mega and zyd from recycled tech 2 components - and able to do fewer missions too. What gives? :-(

Ps. Asking cause I'm not much into "standing-dropping" so to speak ;) Reason is I'm getting close to next agent and dont wanna risk getting further from next lvl Ds
Lucre: I agree with you totally, ok, lower the rewards but for god sake, removing the tech2 bonuses was really too much, there is only 1 good reward left, just implemented again, the implants. As former speaker said, they too drops in value, and fast

Ok, so you take the loss of standing, understandable. Before leaving for work I made a 15 jump lvl2 mission, received 35k reward and no bonus, I nearly didnt get to work in time hehe. To sum it up, it sucked big time

I fail to see my rewards go up for courier missions, done about 10 of those today and the rewards(ISK that is) seem lower than ever, and I just raised my negotiations skill one lvl yesterday, should have spend it on smth else. Unless the increase in rewards is on the skale of 10's of ISK it didn't go up noticeably. -------------- When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this - you haven't. ------------------ (Thomas Edison) |

Hmm what to say? I just stoped doing missions, they sucks now and isk received from it is a laugh. 21k reward and 21k bonus? for a around 40 minutes wasted for it? LOL i could get more isk by mining veldsper in frigate...
To those that want stick to missions: good luck you will need it...

"Long Haul" mission
For a level 3 Effective Quality 40
7 jump courier mission for 34K reward plus 2 mining drones as a bonus.
Thats 3 level 3 missions in a row with a reward below 50K net i liked the 120K reward for 17.5K pyrite mission too

Yeah wondering whos idea was to introduce these Long Haul missions. We really love you man... NOT!
16 jump (both ways) missions with 30k + 30k reward, yay! Taking into consideration that they removed gate-to-gate travel on way back just makes it worse.
No idea really why they nerfed the rewards its not like people were getting rich of missions or anything

Edited by: Falnaerith on 29/01/2004 04:03:00 So far i've declined about 10-12 missions, which consisted of courier missions that, while included the bonus reward, give less isk than what I would have gotten for the reward alone yesterday. (IE, 72k for a reward of 36k, and a bonus of 36k)
I've started doing them as i've realised i won't get better deals, and hopefully can get my standing back up. - That's not a plea for ccp to give it back, just being ****y about trying to get a better mission.
Somewhere I THOUGHT I read that courier missions were to become more lucrative with the patch? ------------------- Basic truths? Idiots make us rich. - Some people are only alive because it is illegal to kill them. |

Edited by: Falnaerith on 29/01/2004 04:27:29 Here's a great example: (I actually got more money out of a bonus reward than the reward for once, gasp)
Research data run =======================
Mission briefing: ----------------------- My corporation has been busy searching for a breakthrough technology and has allocated several stations to the task, including mine. I have some very important research data that needs to be sent to ------- VII - Moon 3 - Spacelane Patrol Logistic Support and I want you for the task. I'll pay you 22000 for making the trip.
Collateral ----------------------- Prior to accepting this mission, the following must be provided by you as collateral, to be returned to you upon successful completion of the mission: 40000 credits
Objectives ----------------------- To complete the mission, the following must be performed by you: one unit of Data Sheets must be transported from ------- VII - Moon 2 - Propel Dynamics Factory to ------- VII - Moon 3 - Spacelane Patrol Logistic Support
Rewards ----------------------- Upon completing the mission, the following will be awarded to you: 22000 credits
Bonus Rewards ----------------------- The following bonuses may be awarded to you: 25000 credits - will be yours if you complete the mission in 45 minutes
++++++++++++++++++++ Ahh, gotta love this one, 10 jumps round trip: Rewards ----------------------- Upon completing the mission, the following will be awarded to you: 32000 credits
Bonus Rewards ----------------------- The following bonuses may be awarded to you: 28000 credits - will be yours if you complete the mission in 40 minutes
Oh, did I mention I love them fixing not being at the last station you were in before jumping out? Was handy, should have known that would be a top priority to get rid of. ------------------- Basic truths? Idiots make us rich. - Some people are only alive because it is illegal to kill them. |

It seems the rewards are highly isk oriented now...
Also:
"- The average rewards for missions have been raised over the board for courier missions."
I've seen quite the opposite, getting an average of 100k isk for courier missions when before I got 100-300k isk.
Addition:
I also noticed that that entry in the patch notes has been removed from EVE Insider, but EVE-I has it...

Regular mission isk rewards nerfed hard, to about 50% of previous.
Glad to know I'm not the only one, I guess -.-
Of course since y'all get like 1 implant per hour, it's ok and this is just balancing right? Lucky *you*.
I'm not so lucky...I just get 50% less regular income. lol ;)
Too many ppl doing missions, they need to be nerfed I think. Reduce rewards--regular and special--and that will fix the problem. Or some such thinking.

Mineral Acquisition =======================
Mission briefing: ----------------------- My corporation is in a desperate need for some minerals. I need you to get me 124 units of Isogen. If you can get the Isogen to me within 6 hours I will be very grateful.
Objectives ----------------------- To complete the mission, the following must be performed by you: 124 units of Isogen must be provided at --- Viziam Factory
Rewards ----------------------- Upon completing the mission, the following will be awarded to you: 9978 credits
Bonus Rewards ----------------------- The following bonuses may be awarded to you: 7700 credits - would have been yours if you had completed the mission before 2004.01.29 07:15
Kinda weird as i could get more ISK for the effort over the market! Also this was given to me in a 0.8system with the nearest Isogen in a system 4 jumps away... I thought the mineral missions were supposed to be fixed???
Addition: ANyone else not able to see the scroll bar on the mission review window unless resizing? The it dissapears again when you try to click it... -------------------------------------------- [2005.02.08 13:58:16] Your Mega Beam Laser II perfectly strikes Sansha's Beast, wrecking for 709.6 damage.

well i hope things get fixed up... this sucks bad, as if things were not that bad before... maybe the mega/zyd on comp/tools might have been ok so long as you would still keep getting them as you did before, and the isk nerf? come on the isk sucked and we get it nerfed more?
you konw i can make more isk and better loot just staying in a .4 system, a lot faster if this keeps up, of course that still sucks but now agent missions suck even more then that
I didnt expect any kind of nerf to agents this bad ever support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo

Yes, scrollbar is F.U.B.A.R. Just resize the window and you'll see all whenever you pop it up.
In answer to whoever posted that about eve-i. I read it as well, IMO they took it out of the patch notes because they did the reverse. Notice they didn't put in there
"Reduced isk rewards and increased distance across board for courier missions"
As for the implants, they will shortly be worth 500k tops. They will be overabundant, and with everything else in eve, the price will plummet. One less way to make money. So now with the patch:
- Less isk per mission
- More jumps per mission (On avg)
- Less tech 2 drops
- Can't refine tech 2 for needed minerals
- Tons of implants to crash that market and kill our income with that
- Harder npc kill missions (Bugged?)
There's probably more, toss a line in here to big issues. Saw something about insta warping pirates? ------------------- Basic truths? Idiots make us rich. - Some people are only alive because it is illegal to kill them. |

I think you summed it up nicely, its just if they want us to take bs's and just afk mine all day long, I hate mining I hate hunting for npc's, but I always did mission, these nerfs just made agents useless to actually earn money.

Thanks CCP! Wonderful Job. You've just removed any qualms I had about leaving Eve just as soon as I'm accepted into the WoW beta. Or hell, I could spend my time doing productive things like homework, or maybe even spend a little time with family and friends. I've just lost the last part of Eve that I hadn't already gotten bored with.

Just over 50 missions completed.
1 Battleship kill mission 4 Important missions 0 Implants 0 Tech2 items 0 Reward items Cash rewards only , value halved after patch. Standing gains halved , standing losses remain the same.
