So I'm within about 7 days of being able to fly an Ishtar and am looking for some setups people use with the Ishtar, mostly for PvE to start. My skills are pretty solid with Hull Upgrades to IV, ability to use Tech 2 smalls, Tech 2 light and med drones, a few days to MWD, Tech II meds coming down the line.
Basically looking to get an idea of what support skills are more useful than others and get an idea of what works with an Ish and what doesn't so I can outfit my own boat :D

PVP ishtar(can be used for ratting too):
3x 150mm railguns II 2x salvager/nos (doesnt matter)
2x shield extender II 1x best named med cap booster 1x 24km point 1x 10mn mwd II
2x overdrives II 2x nanofibers II 1x istab II
if the ishtar is rigged with 2 mass reduction rigs, the you should be using:
3 overdrives II 2 istabs, because of stacking.
you can also change the extenders to 2 dampeners, if your gang would like that¿.
btw, you must train train for ogres II and beserkers II, and drone interfacing V if you wanna be uber ;D gl

From what I can tell this won't fit with nos, even with T1 gear. You would have to exchange a low slot for an RCU or faction PDU.

Question -
A buddy told me the Ishtar had a problem with drone bonuses a while back - I want to confirm this is fixed. Anyone know FOR SURE? I think it has (by reading old topics) but I'd like to know definitively.

3x 125 IIs
AB II, 3x cap recharger IIs, large cap battery II
2x MAR IIs, hardener, eanm, dc II
2x rep amount
PVP
3x 125 IIs, med nos, small remote rep
MWD II, TS/DB/Domi Disrupt, large cap battery II, cap recharger II, LSE II/Tracking disrupt
3x overdrive II, 2x local hull inertia
2x polycarb
People mock the 2x cap mods in the mids on my PVP setup but I've tried the injector and didn't like it as much. First of all the 3 overdrives gimp cargo space by a lot... cargo space I'd rather use for loot. Plus, running out of cap charges during a fight really sucks. You need that MWD to stay on to survive. Then again I PVP with a snake set so I don't have to worry about getting hit with much.

you can fit 1 medium and 1 small nos.
