I've just done a bit of searching and I'm not coming up with anything solid, even though I'm pretty sure that CCP Chronotis stated the following:
1.) The copy slots on mobile labs would be increased from 1 to 2 (I think he said it was happening, but I could be wrong). 2.) Type Ship datacores would be released in Rev 2.1 patch. I remember this being said before Rev 2 patch was released. He said it would be 2.1 cause it didn't make the code freeze for Rev 2, so it was going into 2.1.
My question regarding those to points is simple... Whats going on?
regarding implants. Are we going to get the Beancounter G60 in game at all, or are we just going to be teased with the item being in the DB?

I think he simply meant the next "static content patch" which very likely at the time of his posting looked to be 2.1, but is now 2.2. -- [17:47] <Mephysto> its dead, jim |

we have in the works an intensive lab array with is conceived to have 50% more slots at 20% more fuel costs. I cannot say much more than that presently as its far too early to offer anything concrete regarding it.

forgive me if my math is bad but 50% from 1 is 0.5
so well end up with 1.5 copy s÷ots ?

and someone from CCP ( was that you ? said more lab slots will commin with Rev 2
and now you back to the drawing board ??
i really really wish CCP would do just a little bit more for market /research
if one thing get axed its always the market /sience stuff .. like the ORE ship

no, 50% overall slots so 12 -> 18 total provisionally but as I said in my previous post, it is too early to give you concrete information.

what you mean with "provisionally" ? My english is not my main language so can you elaborate on that?
Does it mean that you get 18 slots no matter what type of research you want to do? like 18 ME research OR 18 copy .. etc ?

well i hope you will do something fats on copy slots.
atm i am running 3 large poses on research service. and 13lab in each. all copy slots if filled for as long as i can se forward in game. we have 3me 3pe 1 copy and 5 invention..
it should be 3me 3pe 2/3 copy and 3/4 invention.
its only copy slots that are struggling.
hopefully the new thing wont eat of cpu so we gotta take down labs to only get more copy slots..

That sounds like it would be a good boon for the researcher.
If you currently have a large tower with 12 moble labs, you would instead be able to fit 10 of the intensive labs. And you would go from 144 slots (12 x 12) to 180 (10 x 18) slots.
A good layout would be 5 ME 5 PE 2 Copy 6 Invent for an "18 slot" lab. That would bring a large POS from 12 copy slots to 20 copy slots.
I think everyone would love a flexible lab. I would pay more for a 10 slot lab where each slot can be used for any sort of research activity. But it seems unlikely we would go back in that direction.

Any word on the corp specific datacores? For example, if I want invent Arazu's I use the Duvolle Labs datacores?
I remember you mentioning those too, but I could be imaging it.

Personally 5 me 5 pe 3 copy 5 invention would seem a lot better as everyone I know is desperate for copy not invention slots. The ability to use them as you want would be incredibly useful though.

sorry but i need to do a whine here:
invention requires BPCs, no ability to create BPCs = no invention.
You want to create a new lab facility FINE, do it...but CURRENT AVAILABLE ones need to be re-worked.
Don't want to make them too good? geez then make them 2/2/2/2 slot layout if you need to. Is just the incredible odd situation of having 5 invention slots and only 1 copying.
Even more so, copying slots in stations are less than invention.....so who was the genious that thought one could do more invention without the BPCs?.
My only conclusion is that when invention was in the design phase it didn't require BPCs...so there was no need to adjust the availability of such service across the game....but alas...invention final design requires BPCs....and no copying slots were added.
Basic lab 2/2/2/2, advanced lab 5/5/5/5 and we are all good.

I still use the 5 invention slots because using more requires going to the lab, and moving the interface :( and since I have the skill to do 10 at a time... It'd be even more annoying to do this 3x etc...
So I'd like to see a lab that used 240% of the fuel with 300% of the slots... 10 invention, 10 copy, 8 me 8 pe... Just so I don't need to move so many invention materials and bpcs around etc.

I'd suggest making specific job type labs
Standard lab has 3/3/3/3 (ME/PE/Copy/Inv) ME lab 6/2/2/2 PE lab 2/6/2/2 Copy Lab 2/2/6/2 Inv lab 2/2/2/6
or doing something like ME lab 4/0/0/0 PE lab 0/4/0/0 Copy Lab 0/0/4/0 Inv lab 0/0/0/4 and then giving the labs a 10% bonus to the specific job and increasing CPU/PG by 10%. Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes, ty - Cortes

I'm glad to hear that mobile labs might be getting a makeover soon but how about those implants?
