First up, good fight, both sides struggled with a lot of lag and the difficulty of dealing with big fleet battles in EVE.
Respectfully, Tinge, I don't know what you saw, but from our end once the Tri-combined fleet jumped in I saw... nothing. Nothing on overview, nothing changed 'in space' either. A couple of times a red would appear, and then disappear from overview, meanwhile other people are calling targets! This happened to a LOT of us. Then I crashed.
When I made it back in and we LEROY'd the pos, my overview loaded and then EVE crashed again. Sometime just after that I died .
It sounds like you jumped in, lagged a ton, and then managed to clear the gate. What can I say, I'm really jealous!
This isn't your fault, or our fault, it's just the state of EVE. Some pilots are pretty frustrated as we thought we had a good chance against the incoming fleet. When it feels it comes down to a roll of the dice, people get annoyed.
Both sides tried hard, both sides 'brought it', I think we could all wish for better more lag/crash/desynch-free fleet fighting in future.

Originally by: Darknesss well originally when TRI formed up there was a 240 man camp in UEJ. TRI gang hit about 110. It was to my understanding Sparta, ESA, Fatal and M. Pire. However jumping into multiple large bubbles and fighting many more opponents we simply wouldnt have been able to break in alone.
It was a very large fight both sides suffered from lag however i cannot blame CCP for this, there were hundreds of people in system.
350 i believe
425 at the start of the battle. i remeber looking at local waitng to f kin load. but peeps started dropping.

Nothing but respect for Tri and everyone involved, Still was a **** fight. Surrounding systems had 2 min module lag and 10 min login hangs once the first jump kicked off the battle through about 20 minutes ago. Jumping a force of 150 into 200, with cyno jammers up and enough bubble coverage to hold Africa, the desync was money.
I will gladly be poded and decimated from all of space from a fight, but not to the desync tragedy. Yes a tragedy. ROFL at the patch notes saying they fixed it.

With due respect, why can't you just say good fight? Yesterday it was ESA, Sparta, M.Pire, and Fatal v. Tri. So i would not go and start playing the "it was this many of us and that many of you" game.
With due respect, Why not? You did it vs. AA in everyone of Tri's posts. Tri being the only one fighting 'apparently 5 alliances' was the bread and butter of your morale threads. But I'm all about the game, and I'll leave out the 'this # on this # if you guys will.'
A link to your KB ending in /?a=alliance_detail&all_id=249 shows no kills or losses of M. Pire anywhere close to Sparta (all VFK area) let alone UEJ. Yes a Fatal force was there yesterday, tonight looks like 1 kill and 1 loss on their part so I doubt very many of them were there.

Well you're a lot luckier than a lot of us. My client gave up and closed - probably in shame
This happened for a lot of us, and I think to a fair number of you guys too.

GM told us directly 'desync favors the jump in'. Our 12 hr lek camp that saw no action desyc'ed on your jump in the other night, and we all know how that ended up. Not your fault, or trying to diminish any kills/victories, it just frustrating. Like I said earlier, I'll happily die "fighting."
250 Blue, 190 Tri, 160 had to re-log.

I think it's because we were idle for a while and the server was receiving no commands from us, so it became paying attention to those who were actually giving commands (such as jumping through a gate), so then when we tried to do something, nothing happened. I've never lagged so bad in this game... ever. Had to relog several times before the black screen finally went away.

Enough - Lag played an issue , .. no doubt , .. to both sides. You should try using tech 2 weapons/fittings/ships, it makes a HUGE difference. This difference alone aside of some bad FC choice on tacics on Spartas side caused the massive losses, Bar None.
Those are the facts, period.
Now where respect is due, my hat is completely off to Sparta and friends for fighting to the end. Please learn from these days of fighting , .. and improve. Your members are very dedicated and on the right path they would be a very powerfull advisary. Again , .. those are the facts.
Until we see each other again - \o/
