Edited by: Gudinna on 25/07/2007 03:52:12 Edited by: Gudinna on 25/07/2007 03:51:48 On July 8th, A brother and a friend passed away.
Seth Carney, 28 year old from MI, USA passed away, leaving behind his family and friends.
In EvE, he was known as the pod pilot Evil Palpatine, a skillful force recon pilot in the Service of the Black Company. We, his friends and brothers are left behind with a void in our hearts.
During his short life, Seth did alot of good, and some of it can be read from the following links: Link 1 Link 2
Although Seth and I did not share religion, I would still like to qoute this passage. Innaa Lillaahi wa innaa ilayhi raajiĈoon To Allaah we belong and unto Him is our return
Go with God Brother.

He's the one that gave me the idea of training up for a recon.
He will be missed.

Strong with the force he is, but not that strong if he gets owned in rl.

Pumpkin, there are thousands upon thousands of human lives lost every day, do you intend to grieve for those as well? Realistically, I think not, because they are stastic numbers and it is not in our nature to care for numbers regardless if it is lives lost or how many losers that play world of warcraft (9 million latest count).
Now, I consider it to be justified to have a RIP thread on the alliance forum, but on a global community forum like e-o, I think its pointless because I and like so many others simply does not care and posts like this serve as flamebaits. Don't you agree after you have thought about it, mmh?

So therefore you must be snideful and disrespectful toward this one?
You do not value life, because your own has no value.

Oh, I would certainly say I value life, my own included, as I will at one point die and until then I will treasure all the experiences that come in my path -- negative as good.
I just hope some asshat friend of mine won't make a forum post about it and expect people respects and care.

Everybody is entitled to thier opinion whether it flames the thread or not...
I don't even know the guy, and me even saying Rest In Peace now won't make a difference...
So i'm going to slowly fade away from this thread an let everybody grieve in peace

Seth taught me the ropes of pvp (and answered my countless noob questions) when I got started in Eve, and he was one good teacher. To us, he was known as a laid back, good spirited guy and one hell of a pvper. Only after his death did many of us learn he was a scholar/teacher in real life as well. He never made his religion an issue, he was cool to me, and I'll miss him.
