I have BC 5 and great gunny skills.
1st: Hurricane has 6 lowslots, not 7 2cnd: You'll die to anything that points a nos at you 3rd: You can't tackle
Either speed tank it or armor tank it. If armor tanking you can use the MWD/Cap Booster/Web/Scrambler setup that most solo PVP ships require.
My own favorite setup:
6x 220mm AC
10MN MWD Med Electrochem Cap Booster web scrambler
MAR II 1600mm Plate 2x EANM II 2x Gyrostabilizer II

the op's setup is nano'd and would be able to tackle. your setup is a very bad tank setup and a dual repper setup beats it every time. either nano like the first reply said or use this setup for armor tank: 6x 220mm 2x med nos II --- 10mn mwd warp disruptor II webber electro cap booster --- 2x MAR II 3x hardener (therm/kin/exp)(T2 probably fit after rev II) 1x DCU II --- 2/3x auxilary nano pump 1/0x nanobot accelerator i personally use T2 thermal drones but i have seen ecm drones used to great effect. with tank use damage and with gank use ecm. _____

That's a nice setup, but I've never been a huge fan of plate tanking. What do you think of replacing the plate with a DCU or 3rd gyro, and fitting falloff rigs?

Plate isn't optimal in a solo 1v1 situation. Where it start to shine is small gangs where it buys you more time than a second repper would.

Shield tanked hurricane is good for level 3 missions and not much else.
If you're going gank, nano or armor tank it.

GJ. =) If you're really going to go down this route, I'd drop the istabs in favor of nanos or overdrives (but at this point, you're "speed tanking" it).

Well, the main difference is: it's not as good. I think I'd only ever attempt to speed tank the Hurricane with snakes, even then I'd be more inclined to armor tank it (more armor HP; more low slots; not incredibly awesome base speed or mass) and enjoy its natural ability to dictate range over other BCs.
I think your sig is truly awesome btw .
