So here I was playing Eve and listening to music. The music stopped and I thought, damn a lot of noise from PC...checked my temp monitor software...OMG CPU temp is 56Deg (usually runs 50-52) check taskmngr ExeFile.exe running 99% (this is Eve's main exe) but then I switched focus to another windows (oh btw I run eve in window mode) and the CPU usage dropped to 35%-45%, switched focus back to Eve window it jumped to 99%
Anyone else experiance this??? Oh and I only notice this after todays patch..... -------- Yes ... I am an alt...get over it! |

silicon works fine up to 1100. silicon dioxide to 900. metal interconnects to 400 the packaging starts to be a (reversible) burden from 70. irreversible from 80ish.
you're fine at 56. just losing a bit of reliability. not even of lifetime ------

Memory usage is 236MB while running.....56 is OK(ish) but the Exe running at 99% is not, its never done that before. -------- Yes ... I am an alt...get over it! |

It doesn't seem to be to do with the spec of the PC to be honest, I have a 64Bit Dual Core 4200+ chip. Dark Flare - Corpus PCG |

Since I can't connect at the moment I can't check it myself.
However, it is not uncommon for games to use all available CPU power - it's the way they are programmed. A few games don't behave like this - I don't know if Eve is one of them.
Multi core processor / multi CPU rigs can behave differently - it depends on the code.

On my PC, Eve allways runs at 100% on one Core (meaning 50% total CPU usage - got a dual-core). On my old single-core PC it always used all available CPU. Don't know why, because when i reduced Eve's priority and started some other Software which uses 30-40% CPU, Eve still ran fine, no lags, no problems, no extra delays when entering a belt or mission - so Eve doesn't seem to NEED 100%, but takes it if it can. Maybe we are hacking some US Pentagon Codes in behind or doing some other massive parallel tasks - just like seti@home and other clients :)
Hmm, a great idea... massive parallel computing packed in a MMORPG - like ppl had to pay for seti@home *gg*
