When I first created this character, I wanted the last name 'Kharik' becouse that was the lastname I used in Starwars Galaxies. But that name was occupied by what I assumed was my 14-days trial account (this was when I started playing EVE).
So instead I choose the last name Tatarin instead.
1 year and 2 months later I search on the name 'Jarah' just to check how many others have that name, what I my eyes saw was the name Jarah Kharik. The same name my trial had. And when I checked the info on the character I see that she to is a Matari Vherikor tribe female, and almost looks like my current character.
I checked her employment history and it says : Republic military school from 2006.03.12 to this day
I ran a search on her in Google. Came up with -Nothing-.
I ran a search on Battleclinic. Nothing.
I checked her sec status, and after 1 year and 4 months gametime she has 0.0.
I might be wrong but.. I think I have a second account without me knowing it
I dont remember if I started paying for that trial account but I got these facts:
She has my name (that I CAME UP with).
She looks almost exactly like me. (my kharik trial acc was a vherikor female too)
She is almost as old as me.
It appears that she is 'Idle'.
Becouse of some stuff I cant explain I can not check the bankaccount Im using for paying EVE, or else I wouldnt have done this thread. But is it any other way I can check this up? Maybe a GM respond would be nice :)
In case this is not my lost account, dont you find this spookey? You guys have any one in-game that looks like you (or you look like him/her?)

Unless you actually deleted the character when you were still on the trial, the account and characters on it still exist because ccp do not delete inactive accounts, and proberly never will (take up hardly any database space)
If you go to my account of the left hand side and you can remember the user name and password u could log in a subscribe on that old account if u want to

That'll be your character. Characters aren't deleted, even if you terminate them, and the names are never freed up for future use. Since you can find that exact name, you didn't terminate that char, so it's sitting on the game's servers, waiting for you to activate that account.

I see, thanks for the answers guys.. I started to get nervous about paying 12ú/month for something I didnt use!
aaaw.. The way you say it gives me the picture that she actually waits for me to return..

Seriously - I've deleted characters (waited the 10 hours for deletion) - then created a new character with the same name. No problem.
Alts - delted & recycled.
You should have been able to do the same - if it was your character.

Weirdest thing I've seen:
There was a can anchored in space near a moon where I wanted to launch my PoS. This can was owned by a character who (I assume) was deleted a long time ago. It was a common name like Khaos or something, and the name was recycled with a new character sometime later.
So when I checked the info on the can, it gave one guy, but if I typed his name into the search, it gave another guy. Also, the deleted character had no corp, the logo was blank. Weird.
I was too lazy to report it though.
