As a pirate corporation in Essence, we've undoubtedly made quite a few people upset. One corporation got upset enough to go to the extreme and hire a mercenary corporation to try to "take care" of us. Unfortunately for them, their isk was not well spent.
The mercenary corporation I'm speaking of is called The Coalition of Buccaneers. Let's take a look at some statistics eh?
Contract cost: 1,000,000,000 isk
Damage done to us by TCOB (Griefwatch KB): 15,000,000 isk
Damage done to TCOB by us (Griefwatch KB): 1,300,000,000 isk 
Just a warning to those of you that may be looking for a mercenary corp to do business with. These guys aren't really a bargain. They also seem to be using some sort of log-off exploit; two Eagles have logged off whilst being engaged and having points on them, as well as a Dominix which happened to have 3 points and less than 15% structure left. They simply disappeared... odd.

NTM that they pull logoffskis. Twice they done that in an eagle, and their CEO pulled that trick in his dominix. :( They tried to show force once with their carrier pilot, but we never saw it again. Save your money and hire some other people with more confidence and competence.

I was hoping for some fun fights from this group, I was highly disappointed especially at all the smack coming from them after taking heavy losses with the first week.
Between the conversations in local, private conversations, and if you could call their movements....tactics, hasn't been all that great. As stated, I've seen one engagement that looked like there was some planning, but the rest have been huge, expensive mistakes.
Good for free T2 gear though

this thread wasnt really intended to smack tcob, it was more to point out their log off tactics. yeah and we know the kb isk loss isnt accurate, thats why we listed it according to "griefwatch". thats the style of kb we use |

This thread, in my opinion, is seriously a warning. When the war started, I had respect for TCOB and was warning our guys to prepare for a fight but after their logoffskis and general smack, I no longer hold respect for them. TBH, I believe Torhas was present when we blew up TCOB's Megathron and Pilgrim and when their Domi logged during combat. Torhas may or may not have jumped thru the gate, I can't remember.
And yes, we know KBs aren't accurate in the least. Still, I'm sure that their losses have exceeded the cost of the contract...

Well, let me start out were not gunna rant.
OK, well lets see here. Its the first week and we did take some loss's. Woopdy Freakin doo. You guys can gank us, oh well. Thats not PvP my friend. Also I guess we scare you due to the fact we bring 4 Guys and you bring 20-30 people and also have carriers un-docked. You do know what intel gathering is. Well your fallin strait for a deep hole. Wow you can do braging threads. We could really care less. The only reasons we have has loss's is the number's which i could care less about. We have lost no ship's tactical wise to you guys. You guy's use tactics. LOL, love when pirate corps in low-sec think that. We live out in 0.0 and thats where real tactics come in my friend. For us ISK is no problem, maybe for you guys.
Let us know if you want to take us on without gank squads. I mean what we brought 6 people and a carrier to fight and all your people in local. About 30 something docked. 20 People engage use but all we did was put you in structure and you docked. So for us you guys are a joke to piracy. But like i allways say. "I am just takin it Easy"
and this whole logg thing you guys hold so dearly. First the 2 pilots had ISP problems so they lost connection. And also that happened way befor the engagement or "Gank" as I call it.
loss's passing the contract has not happened and will not. But hey if it does were not pullin out. Thats the dedication we have for our employer's. Were all self-Sufficent in ships. So were not goin anywhere soon.

Wow. Someone is really bitter. Pvp is pvp no matter if there's 1 of you and 50 of them. If you took losses due to being outnumbered, bad scouting etc then it's your mistake and you should accept it as one. If they blobbed you then get more ppl or refund your contractors, if u can't take their numbers then u shouldn't have accepted the contract in the first place.
DL i figured this wasn't intended as a smack thread, possibly just an epeen extending one, but it comes across a bit like haha you're rubbish we're ace kinda thing.
Oh and logging in combat. meh. really ticks me off but nothing u can do about it. corps that do not care about being respected will always do it until ccp change the game mechnics unfortunately.

I don't intend to bash you or your corp, so all I'm going to say is I hope you guys will bring the fight. So far, I've had lots of fun fighting you guys, and I hope you'll keep it up. If you guys really do have something up your sleeve, I'm eager to see it, because right now, you're not presenting much of a challenge. Either way, I'm having fun, and I hope you guys stick around to provide some more fights.

Not intended to be a smack post, but we are all trying to figure out what exactly are they trying to accomplish as their losses have been from rather....strange mistakes.
As far as 0.0 has "real" tactics vs. low sec....
Congrats for joining half the noobs of eve who debate about this on a daily basis.
If you still haven't figured it out, 0.0 and low sec have different tactics, but I figured you would have known that since your a "merc corp".
As far as the lot of you goes, please stop complaining after an engagement about how unfair it was. Remember: you war dec'ed us, not the other way around.
It's been both interesting and fun either way, and I look forward to seeing any tricks you have up your sleeves.

Does not explain why your corp always pull logoffski's. Got an eve mail today from your fearless CEO and "she" (yes i said she because if he is a he, he is acting like a damn woman) said that she and the eagle pilot blue screened at the same time. Hmmm thats kinda fishy.

Sorry to have to bring this up but i kind of thought that was the whole point of a merc corp... not to be unprepared and to have some intel on where your enemy is, moves around, fights and when they are usually on..and tbh intel gathering can be achieved without that much of a loss.. avoiding all the rubbish in the thread, ill direct towards some of dl's more coherent posters.
those two had connection problems long before the fight, just wanted to do something so they went along anyway.
as for fighting outnumbered, 4-15 etc... i agree with you, we declared the war, its our war to bring, so no brainer there, pretty dumb if you used only 4 ships to fight us.
again for fighting outnumbered, i just play to pvp. so for me its a bordom thing, if im not fighting, im staring at a docked ship. so im there whenever im on, regardless the odds.
it is clear there are issues to be worked out, not the least of which is our numbers, i mean 20 people in corp and 4-5 in gang, hmm, even with more online. for me i would think you join a merc corp, your hard core pvp, pvp all the time and on alot, even if just for a specified time engagement. doesn't seem to be the case.
ill be gone for two weeks leave. so either a corp is there when I get back or it isn't. i think that time will make or break it and ill be good to go either way.
but alas it is a game eh, don't be concerned with what we lose, i mean are you wanting to win or lose? i think you prefer to win all the time. you said you've had fun, so what more do you want from the game?

What I want from the game?
I want it to be played fair. When I take a ship deep into structure I would like to see it blow up(like my own tend to do at times) not just conveniently disappear on multiple occasions due to a 'phenomenal' occurrence. (most likely Alt + F4)

It's been a learning experience for me. I salute Death's Legion and the Sister Corp.. I am the sole reason that Death's Legion is winning this fight. I have made some rookie moves and deserved to get ganked. I have posted my loses on the KB and that's the right thing to do. I do not take my loses personnel, it is a game. So far Death's Legion is winning and anyone with any sense can see that. Thanks for helping me to learn to PVP Death's Legion, no greater teacher, than one who spanks butt. In real life, take care fellow EVE Online players.

I respect deaths legion and I have seen a huge improvement in their social behavior since certain members left their corp, we've lived next door to each other for quite some time now and we hate each other <3
All i have seen from this thread is The Coalition Of Buccaneers talking about how weak they are - the fact that you don't even have the numbers before you start the war dec is just plain stupid, there is no point in war dec'in then waiting for your alliance to grow, as by that time no doubt you would of well exceeded the initial contract fee. You war dec'ed the entire corporation, so expect the entire corporation to fight back with everything they got. Deaths legion use scouting tactics, itÆs hard to catch them unaware of your movements. I seen and felt deaths legions firepower more than your corp, so believe me when I say they have a superior amount of firepower, or blobs as you wish to call them.
Fact is there are no rules of engagement, you do what you can to inflict as much losses on the other team, youÆre not fighting to claim a system so thereÆs nothing else left to do than blow each other up. So if DL has their gang on the gate and you get caught by it, then its fair play to them. Don't be fooled by their docking either, we were camping them in the station, then they all rushed at once - pretty amusing and pretty expensive on our part.
So hats off to deaths legion, i hope you can pull together Buccaneers and give them a good beating - best of luck, sounds like you need it! 0/

Hey mano, I sympathize, believe me I do. But if you have worn the uniform you should remember that we fight for freedom of speech, even if it is for someone who lies through their teeth claiming to be something they arent. He knows the truth, we have our opinions (yes I agree with you, not a marine but been around enough in my time in the US Army to know how they jabber :P) and nothings ever gona come of it.

Yes its true we have taken losses, but we are grealty outnumbered until we work out suitable tactics to counter them im sure we will take a few more.

Deaths Legion is a BOB alt corp, in a recent convo with Zachariah Barnette he revealed to me his alt called Jake Noble.
/me takes off tinfoil hat.
As our alliance grows so will our numbers im sure we will continue to get some smack free fights as allways, and the enemy will continue to undock and fight when numbers are equal or in our favour.

I just wanted to state that Death's Legion definately have capable combat pilots. We try to find them when we are off contract just to have some target practice...very deadly and very active.

Mmmmmm, this was a good read. Suprising the things that happen while u are gone for a few days. To all that had kind words about DL, I thank you. To all the little girls out there, maybe you are playing in the wrong sandbox. I look forward to using this experience and a springboard to place DL in the ranks of the better EvE pirate corps. In time we hope to acheive this. As a corp we are constantly evolving, constantly rotating memberships getting the right pilots for the profession. Being a low sec pirate corps comes with its ups and downs. Overall this has been a good experience, alot of our Academy members have learned valuable EvE lessons and the veteran players have been able to polish up on their war tactics. Every now and again it is nice to take off the Ole Pirate hat and play war.

Props to DL for giving them a spanking but your a little premature for my liking, leave the back patting and lol'ing till the end of the contract shall we.

When the merc corp posted their contract against us on the Forums, one of the first replys was a post from one of their members. It stated "Yar all dead". It... Kinda... Hurt my feelings. I mean, how am I suppose to move on after this. Pirates have feelings to ya know? /me removes Pirate Hat and sulks.
