Edited by: Nyrram on 29/01/2004 23:34:58 I put my copy of EVE on the shelf for quite a while and decided to dust it off and see how it has changed... I install it, activate my account.. and wouldn't you know it, all the text in the game is blurry!! I played with the textel alignment, hoping to fix it, but nope.. still blurry.. is there a way to fix this?
Antialiasing is set to OFF by my hardware config, so that shouldn't be the problem..
Glad to see that CCP hasn't lost their touch..

Edited by: LukAsh on 29/01/2004 19:24:57 First thing: this should go to Known issueas and workarounds forum. Second thing: maybe update your drivers. Thirdly: whats with the topic??

Edited by: Zodiack on 29/01/2004 19:27:40 You can put the game back on the shelf, we won't care at all... I suggest you check your system, sounds like you're in need of an update.

Well if you fanbois would bother to get your heads out of your collective anus, you might be able to help this gentleman.
Nyrram, there is nothing wrong with your hardware or drivers, most likely. This is a problem with the textures and graphics of EVE and how it uses D3D.
First, we need to know what type of video card you have, what brand. If it's an nVidia, I can help you easily. Under display properties, or in that "hardware config" you mention, there should be options for D3D. Set Image Quality to "High" or "Highest" if you can. "Blend" is adequate but you will start to see blurry text and blurry textures for GUI icons and item icons.
Please note this fix has nothing to do with OpenGL properties or general performance settings options. Only D3D. There should be a tab or option of some sort for your vid card to adjust the D3D settings only. GL , HF matey.

Edited by: Nyrram on 29/01/2004 23:35:13 Thanks, Speedo, that fixed it :)
Now I can go get my cruiser blown up by the super powered NPCs I've been reading about :)

SpeedoMan, nice save. I'd hate to see another keen player of Eve (even a recurring n00b - :-P Nyrram, only joking) run off by a loud-mouth forum booi.

You should try changing the Texel Alignment. That may be your best bet.

great to hear Nyrram, feel free to look me up in-game if you need anything else.
Red - it wasn't textels, he mentioned that in the opening post, but good idea all the same.

Hehe.. an update on my first day back into the game.. I found out that all the rats that spawn in the sector I used to call home (CL-1JE, Curse Region) were beefed up past what my little Stabber could handle, so I set out for Empire space.. I neglected to check to see if the corp I was in was still a member of Curse Alliance, however.. oops.. byebye ship, and all the gear I had obtained during the three months I played after release.. hahaha..
Oh well, at least I had enough cash for another cruiser and some basic gear, and went back and let the guy pod me for a quick trip to Empire space :)
So now it's rat-hunting for a while to build myself up again... but with only 2.7 mil skillpoints, I feel like a noob all over again.
