Title says it al. When running a single account I don't really have much connections problems. However, since I have 2 accounts I encounter alot of disconnections on one of the 2 accounts when using both of them at the same time. It seems that when I don't actually move or click for a few minutes in an account (while playing with the other) the idle one gets disconnected almost 100% of the time. Anyone knows how to solve this annoying problem?

There's been discussion on this since after Rev 2 patch within the crashes section of this forum. We've received no replies or any answers and all we have is speculation. --

This isn't suppose to happen.
I sit idle for hours and hours without getting disconnected.
I suggest you look at your own setup for what might causes this behavior.

Well, if it was my own setup causing this, the disconnections should occur playing on a single account too (which I don't think is the case). However, using a single account doesn't get the character idle very quick...hmmm. Maybe you are right. But when using the internet (got ADSL) for other purposes I never experience disconnects.

I am getting the same thing ever since Rev2. Running two accounts at the same time = one of them soon ctds. Running just one account = fine. Really annoying. And it is NOT my machine, that has not changed one bit from before Rev2. I bet its related to the settings reset issues, which again I bet are related to the storing info in dumbass my documents folder. And who knows all of this might again be related to dual cores, at least the setting reset people seem to all have dual cores...

Well, if you are running two clients then there's more data up- and downloaded. Maybe your internet connection / your router / whatever is not very reliable.

Edited by: Ila Lien on 31/07/2007 18:19:49 For me personally, I had no issues with this before Rev 2 patch whatsoever. I ran 2 clients perfectly fine, capable of leaving them idle on accident while heading out to dinner and coming back to find them fine. Now I can't leave 1 client up let alone 2. This issue was fixed Tuesday the 24th and broken again on the 25th. This is a server-client communication problem and I do not know the cause of it. Logserver will also probably not help because it is purely client based. When I get disconnected, neither the client or logserver even notice it till I try to load something. My boyfriend's computer on the same network works perfectly. I've submitted a bug report in hopes that I and ccp can get something accomplished. --
