at the moment as an alliance u have the alliance mail, but what we need is a meesage of the day something that pops up when ever an alliance member logs in so important stuff is readily seen and members don't have to go looking in mail plus a set alliance info list where all important alliance info can be input by only a limited few this would be for information that doesn't change much lik:
1). alliance forum and signing up rules
2). alliance charter
3). alliance RoE
4). alliance vent and teamspeak info
5). alliance officers
6). alliance killboard link and info
7). 0.0 access rights and comms channels u need to be in
8). alliance current standings so that members can see who we have standings with.
at the moment it's all in alliance mail and new members have to traul through it when they join up
also alliance lvl titles where the exec corp can assign alliance officers a title and ceratin roles and responsibilites like:
1). Standing setting access
2). PoS access - different lvl's such as research, maintainance, fueling etc...
3). wallet access
4). alliance hangers
at the moment alot of this requires senior members in an alliance to have an alt in the exec corp and if u only have 1 account u have to log off your main too log in ur alt to change a standing or transfer funds.....
these roles should be lost automatically if a member leaves the alliance or suspends there account.
but one thing above all even at corp lvl standings should be a role that is seperate from the director role.... i mean corp wallet access is seperate but if u want a member to be able too set standings but they don't need wallet and full hanger access u can't do it
if anything else comes to mind i'll update this post
but above all allaince warfare has improved and the standings now working properly is great as does the provision of different wallets........ now we just need the alliance communication and running tools to allow those of us at alliance management level to run the alliance and still have plenty of time to play.....

Sounds like a good idee ... i never figured why alliance are so porely setup and those mails its a horror from time to time.
i say work it out nicely and go for it ;)

i hate disorganisation, and lack of choice and at alliance level thats what it is like especially organising communication...... i know some players don't like joining out of game forums there loss as i find them fun and a good way to communicate and we will always need that.... it's the ingame communication means that are sadly lacking...... the mail lists are ok but in the end they just become another thing u have too tidy up and condense but u can only put so much info and u can't even edit a message u have too re-post and then get the old one deleted...... which to me is mad...
If i get time this week i'll run up some visuals of what i would like too see....

Definately needed boss..... though also i believe the standings system needs even more of an upgrade ie:
When setting NAP and friendship settings this should be a joint requirement...
example:
Alliance A wants to set a nap with Alliance B
They set alliance B to nap and then have too automatically enter an eve-mail that is sent too the designated Diplomats of alliance B..... Alliance B Diplomats receive the eve-mail and then can click agree or disagree..... if they agree then both alliances standings too each other are set to nap...... but if they disagree then the standings remain as they where set ( ie: enemy, competitor or neutral)...
Also if at any point alliance's with naps change there standings back too neutral or even too enemy then the other alliance receives a notification that the nap has been ended and there standings change too reflect this so stopping plots from being caught out by standings changes..... maybe have a 24hr delay on nap's and friendship settings being propagated a bit like when declaring war.....
i know this would help diplomats and CEO's and alliance leaders jobs a lot easier and should mean they get more time too run other parts of the alliance and of course play the game ie rat, mission run, mine or pvp which ever they like doing..... If this was tied into the above ability for alliance standings too be changed by designated alliance members with out them being or having an alt in the exec corp then i belive alliances will be a lot more manageable....

It seems like every time I play alliance-chat is filled with "pilotX, friend or foe?"
So a method of syncing your own standings with those of your corporation or alliance might be a good idea. Some of the larger corps have literally hundreds of standings set against rival corps, and many more when you consider individual pirates, can-thieves, macros... etc.
Anyways, my 2iskies

huge SIGNED to the op and also the nap/friendly changes.
Alliances can build outposts and yet they forgot to add alliance wide hangers in them? i'd sack the architect and ok pos's have alliance access... but it's what, full access or nothing?
Alliances definatly need some love... where is the love? 
even just allowing CEO's/Directors the ability to create MOTD's in corp/alliance chat would be a great start.

Well trinity has brought in some nice corp lvl changes but we still need alliance lvl tools .... Please i mean big alliances are a nightmare to run even small ones with the limited tools that we have at alliance level.....

Those would be great
Im in a research alliance, and i know the hangers alone would be a great benefit.
I know the feeling of alliance mail, we have 3 mailing lists just to be able to seperate everything.
I dont think alliance wallet is such a good idea, alot of potential problems.
Just my opinion

Definatly like the idea for the alliance channel messages, but would also like to see the same feature for the corp channel.
On the topic of channel improvments, I would also like to see status's displayed. Like AFK, Fighting etc in corp channel.
