I am creating a Gallante character specifically for PVP and I was wondering which character starting attributes you'd rather have:
First Char: INT 6 PER 17 CHA 8 WIL 10 MEM 4
Second Char: INT 8 PER 10 CHA 6 WIL 10 MEM 10
If you don't like either, please suggest an alternative for starting attributes

#2 is probably preferable. It is generally not a good idea to gimp any stat too much, the way you've done with the first char. Combat characters use Int and Mem, too. And you'll need to do a lot of drone training (Mem) if you're flying Gallente.
Besides having really low int and mem on Char #1, we can't tell much else from the stats you've posted because they aren't your base stats. Subtract any learning you started with or have trained, and it will give a clearer picture of where your stats really stand.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that no learning skills were trained, I just created them to see what others would think. I don't want to start a character off on the wrong foot by having not-so-good attributes. Thanks

#2 is likely "best". As mentioned you do not want to overly gimp any one stat as eventually you will use all of them. Even Charisma is used when training up Leadership skills (Leadership, Wing Commander, Fleet Commander for example...those last two are high rank skills as well so a nerfed charisma would make training those hell).

Those stats do include some learning skills. Probably the ones you got at the start (which differ per creation path). Mentioning which learning skills you have would provide some more detail. However, #2 is best by far, considering you'll need electronics, engineering and mechanic skills too. =AFK=

I'm really weird, and I'd be tempted to go with the first one. That setup would never tank as well as most characters, but you'd train weapon and ship skills very quickly. So he'd do a lot of damage, but wouldn't be able to withstand it very well.
The second setup is more balanced. Balance means versatility. If you don't know which skills you'll be training and what they mean, versatility is a Very Good Thing.

He would tank fine, it would just take a little longer to train the proper skills. This is probably what you meant, but I felt I should clarify, as attributes have no impact on the actual implementation of any of your skills. -=^=-
