Gahhhhhh
I'm gonna have to do some testing on Sisi, but as a person who has done exactly that, I have a dark forboding feeling about this.

I don't see this as a nerf. Greatest thing to ever happen to the Amarr IMO.
The only thing that concerns me is that the armor tanks might be too strong. Time will tell.

Well, the curse bonus set right now is for both the NOS and the Neutralizer. So, it may not be as powerful, but it's still going to be effective with a swap from one to the other.

I have to admit to not grasping the finer details on how this will affect the curse yet, specially seeing as I can't get on the test server (first no patch, had to search forums for it, now getting "Unable to connect blah") but 'puts flameproof suit on' ...is this the end of the nanocurse then? relying on Cap to sustain MWD kinda makes Neuts not viable...yea I know you could turn off the MWD, but then quick getaway isnt easy..not to mention no damps wi no cap...also your cap is gna drain a hell of a lot faster than anything with a bigger cap (so anything cruiser sized up really )

What I believe is the strangest part of the Khanid MK II changes, is that the missile damage bonuses for the larger ships are only for 'Heavy assault missiles' unlike the usual 'Heavy missiles & Heavy assault missiles'
I find this confusing?
On a side note, will I be reimbursed for the soon to be useless laser rigs I have fitted?

Not the end of a MWD Curse, if anything its a boost.
You can still NOS the snot out of a bigger ship since your cap will (almost) always be lower because of the MWD. THEY can't NOS the snot out of you though, since your Cap will be lower. Not nerf, boost.... <-----------> Factional Warfare:

Well I'm just testing it now on SiSi. Against a Hurricane I had serious cap issues. Yes, my MWD brings my cap lower than his, but it still means my own cap has to die before his does, and as it stands now with a nanosetup, you use damps to stop them targetting you, so you aint getting Nos'd anyway...not to mention the fact that the range bonus on a Curse means you shouldn't be in NOS range in the first place..not much of a boost there.
(as for any of their gangmates nossing you, you have no cap anyway! )
Second, the way its happening to me now, you get in range, run NOS, when your cap dies, you know theirs has, but say bye bye to scram / damps / MWD.
So you try switching NOS off as it hits 10% ish, well, MWD aint lasting long.
In a small gang, the curse becomes a target for any ship with web to grab him as soon as his cap dies, and with it the MWD... which you know the second it happens, cos your gangmate tells you his cap just died.
Meh

Edited by: vile56 on 30/07/2007 23:48:42 im gonna put neuts on a pilgrim ya cool.
oh im also gonna have a large use for my +5% to SMALL lasers since a ret cant solo. meebe i should fly my malediction nope cant get a bonus on that. Vengeance? you know the answer to that. so for tech 2 frig ships i have the sader and well thats not really my style nor the dps to kill anything in my book. cool iin my book
oh and missiles on a sac yah ive always wanted that trained up med pulse spec 5 for that very cause .
so meh ill adapt prolly but unhappy regardless.
edit why the **** do i need more cap on a missile ship thats plain stupid.
if i can tank for a helluva long time in a sac with(real) medium pulses, with the cap nerf to lasers. then why would i need a boost with no cap needed from guns? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sig removed. Damn straight I trained missiles. After a year of putting all my skillpoints into flying Amarr and getting into a crap fitted Drake that outanked BY FAR anything I can fly that's Amarr.... Yep, heavy missiles 5 here I come.
Thanks CCP. My Curse and Pilgrim have just been turned into NOS silly putty, my heavy tackler Sac has been turned into a freaking missile boat, my worthless Abaddon will now fire 1 volley of pulses and cap dry (Hey, that's an idea.. put a neut on an Abaddon!) and god forbid, I WAS training up for the Damnation (A LOGISTICS SHIP MIND YOU, IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A DPS *****.) but I think I'll just skip all that and waste another year training for Caldari.
Not one single thing in that dev blog impressed or pleased me.

Sorry, Caldari having two seperate lines of hybrid and missile ships makes hybrids optional, but Minmatar having seperate lines of projectile and mixed and Amarr having two seperate lines of laser and missile ships somehow doesn't make missiles optional for them? How does that make any kind of sense?

Edited by: boogaboob on 31/07/2007 07:58:45 My response to these changes is simple:
**** yes.
Malediction is the new rocket crow, baby. YES.
Vengeance tank will be rather silly. It's like a kestrel, except its ******* hard to kill.
Sacrelige- HAM caracal with great tank.
As a caldari pilot of similar laziness to the amarr whining about this, I am ECSTATIC that I can finally train another race without invalidating my 6m SP in missiles. Again, WOOT WOOOOOOOOT. Amarr frigate 5 training now :D

I'm Amarrian and I don't see how Amarr are now useless if anything they're changing ships that had little to no role. (Excluding the curse).
Like the Sacr I could never find anything this ship could do that a Zealot couldn't do better. Maybe it could tank a little bit better, but since the Zealot had 2 extra low slots I found it balanced out.
I like the vengeance changes as well at last a real rocket AF, unlike the hawk which gets missile bonus' but is far better suited to rockets since it's hard to fit.
And if you don't like the changes it's simple don't fly these ships (And the others that are getting changed), there are still plenty to choice from.
But I can't wait to jump back into my Sacr now and wipe off the space dust.

AHM are are short range missles, yes your deal all damage types not, but you know what, you now have to deal with NOS and neuts. a single nos will kill any amarr now that uses lasers, now it will take 2 nos. .. but your still die due you have have to fight short range now, beams are useless now on any of them ships.
You have to think about the bigger picture.
WHAT?! I'd like to have something of what you're smoking please.
You've completelly misunderstood the changes to Nos. Those changes alone are the biggest boost to Amarr so far (well, unless you happen to fly a Curse / Pilgrim that is)...
