Yes. That trailer was shown before Transformers and this the third thread I know of about it.
I'm pretty sure it has a title, the company is just keeping it secret. Right now its just being called Cloverfield or 1-18-08.
The rights to Godzilla are owned by a different company than the one making that movie.

Hey, everybody. It's me, JJ Abrams. I may not know jack **** about how to actually make a cohesive plot, but I sure can just get my smug everywhere by making all these crazy-ass plot twists that aren't going anywhere. If I could drum up a story one one-hundredth as good as I can drum up cheap buzz, I wouldn't have to cry myself to sleep at night.
