Ive been playing for 2 years this augaust, and I've never gotten a straight answer on this. If you click the new icons next to the listed skills, they give some funky explanations like 'Trained but not Required' for secondaries...have I been goign about training wrong all this time? ---------------------------------------- Friends Forever

"Trained but not required level" I believe it says, with a yellow circle? That means you need to get it to a higher level.
And you need every skill that is listed to have a green tick to be able to use whatever it is. ----

I believe it's supposed to say 'Trained but not to Required level'.

it sais "trained but not required level" meaning you ddo have the skill, but not at the level you need it to be able to use that module

Thats not entirely true. You need any primary, secondary and tertiary skills, but not their requirements. If he just started out he might have some skills that he does not have the requirements for (if he where to learn them from a skillbook), but they are not nessecary. For instance, if you got tactical shield compansation as a starting skill you can use shield hardners, even if you don't have engineering IV wich is the requirement for tactical shield compansation. Engineering IV will show up as a yeallow circle in the shield hardeners skill page, but you can fit them anyway.
