Hey,
someone else suggested that in the 'Khanid/Nos-changes' thread and think this would be a very good idea. Could we have an option to change our skillpoints into another race of our choice?
I really like that idea and would trade all my amarrskills into Minmatar, f()ck, i even would trade them against Caldari-skillpoints, and that means much. I just dont want to live on the construction-site of this game and i guess i am not the only one with this thoughts.

Yeah but they havent even tried it. These changes have been on the test server for how long? There hasnt been enough time for people to try new setups.
I can understand that amarr players arent happy about becoming missile spammers though...

Yea, I'm fully amarr yet I have tested these ships, its not good which is a shame - defo since we are really resticted to HAM's for the bonus on our Sac, its deadfull it really is (go try fitting one if u have skills on test)

I dont have amarr skills. But you're right...its not my place to say what will work or not work on amarr ships since I dont fly them. :)

I still think that given the bonus only applies to HAM's and not all missiles, you guys should receive a 10% bonus to them instead of a 5% bonus. That might be a bit overpowered though. Opinions? ------------ ULTIMATE LAG SOLUTION | Forum Whiners - Unite! |

I reakon that might be overpowered, but what I do think is that we should get a "slight" range bonus because at the moment my HAMS are travaling like 6000m or something stupid.

There is no problem with the range of HAMS. They are a short range/high damage weapon. Your ship and the target ship nose to nose, slugging it out. Or orbit at 500 and watch even blaster pilots cry.
It seems that you want to use them like heavy missiles.

Considering that Amarr ships will be better after the Khanid changes and nosferatu re-vamp (geddit?) why would anyone want to move their skillpoints out of Amarr?

But seriously, if u could change all ur stuff into some different race. Would u do it or not?

There is no advantage to using HaMs over Heavies really. A 33% reduction in damage is hardly countered by an increase RoF of 53%. Esp when most ships/skills add their bonus' to the damage part and not the RoF part.
Heavies get Precision and rage as tech 2. The Heavy Rage are basically the same as tech I but with higher damage while the Assault Rage are severely worse on all stats but have 20 extra damage.
The preicision heavies are extremely useful since they hit smal ships very well and yet HAM have a long range variant that is pretty much the same thing as a Heavy tech I missile with half the damage (85), which is only 10 higher than a standard missile.
If HAMs are going to be useful they need to add some speed tot he tech I versions and the Rage versions. Reduce the massive 75% more Expl Rad and Velcoity ont he ass Rage missiles and give the Long Range HAMs back the damage and give them a expl rad penalty.

My character is completely specced in Amarr tech. I've used the Damnation for gang support, flown the curse, and the sacrielge.
I have about 40k in missiles.
I'm perfectly happy with these changes, and i'm gonna start training missiles to make the Damnation and Sacrilege into pwnboats, tbh.
Nothing wrong with the changes at all. If you want lazer damage and you're Amarr specced, fly an abso or zealot, it's what people have been doing since they were put in game.

I fly Amarr and Minmatar ships (I have crosstrained turrets and missiles and shield and armor in other words). T2 weapons ftw for both races (will have t2 missiles soon enough). Can fly HAC's, Commands, and Inty's/AF's for both races.
I am looking forward to the Sacrilege changes. Cap recharge bonus + weapons that don't use cap + armor resist bonus + 2 rig slots + pirating on top of a gate in 0.4 - 0.1 space? Yes please. I hope it keeps those bonuses. I can just imagine a dual rep cap injector tank on a sacrilege. Just gotta make it fit.
Did I mention no lasers means more cap?
For everyone who wants pure turrets there are still a bunch of other Amarr ships that rely entirely on turrets. Pretty much all of them. ---

What?! Using the Cerberus as an example since its the closest ship to the Khanid HAC:
- 5* HML T2 with kinetics (because of bonus): 243DPS - 5* HAM T2 with kinetics: 312DPS
You call that no advantage?!

No Amarr ship that fits large energy turrets (of any kind) has been changed except for NOS and even that can be a benefit since large energy turret Amarr ships have been so vulnerable to NOS in the past, now, with their perpetually low cap, they'll be practically immune to NOS (but still vulnerable to NEUT).

For that HAM's have 1/3 the range (unbonused...not even sure if HAMs get a velocity bonus from skills but even if they did that gap will actually widen). They also have 1/4 the explosion velocity and about 1/3 the explosion radius.
So, versus a battleship sitting still I guess the HAMs would out damage heavies. Against anything smaller or anything moving at a good clip heavies would be better by far. Not to mention if something is speeding about a 6000 m range is not much help.

I would like to take all the skill points I put into rank 1 skills, and put them into rank 8 skills. It's so much easier to get a rank 1 skill to level 5 then a rank 8...
/started putting points into missiles the moment I noticed Amarr ships could fit missile launchers at all. ------ I am in blood! Stepp'd in so far that, should I wade no more, it would be as tedious as going over. -MacBeth |

This char is Amarr/Minmattar so I'm okay. I love Amarr for their DPS and tanks and Minmattar for their faster ships. We get the Khanid mk2 ships soon though! (lol) My Curse was gimped... I would probably go Minmattar/Gellente if I could re-spec my character though and wasn't allowed any alts.

The problem is not to find in the Khanidchanges. I think this ships were useless before and now they have a role, but at the same time the best Amarrships get a nerf. So i think thats a bad deal, a real bad deal. The Pilgrim was a bit different than the other recons, but what should it do know? Tracking disrupting in fleetwar? U can do the same with the fricking cheap frig for 100.000 isk, but this wont cost 200 millions and dont need a half a year to train for. So what would u do with this ship after the patch? Let me guess, u will sell it, because thats what i will do.
