Hello everyone.
I was doing some exploration yesterday and today in 0.0 space. I found few sites and once i found the right one i decided to warp to it. I was cloaked and i warped 100km from the actuall site. Once i was there it took around 30 second to load and after that i was decloaked, all rats attacked my buzzard and it of course popped in few seconds.
What am I doing wrong, or it's a bug?
Thanks for your answers.

You're unlucky. Normally in all exploration complexes gas clouds exist (not mineable ones), and they have a big radius. They uncloak you and since it took you 30 seconds to load, you got killed by the rats in those 30 seconds.

Don't most people warp to the site in their pod for that reason? Or is the decloak so rare at 100k that you mostly can get away with it? * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

They're usually deadspace, so warping in at 100 won't help. Going in a pod is safest.

Depends if you need to go through a gate first, then capsules won't be able to enter. And let's say you don't have a station within 10 jumps, then lazyness sometimes kicks in :)
However if you got a 0k accuracy and you warp into a plex (without gate) at 40km, you still warp in at 0km, since the entrance point "drags you in". However if your accuracy is 40km or something, you end up at that point, but anyone warping to you will get into the "entrance" point.
Also if you don't lag too bad, you can normally make it out in a covert ops, I usually check out the sites in my cov ops. I've only lost my ships when I've stumbled upon traps inside the plexes

Very informative, thanks. :) * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Just don't forget to bookmark your ships location if you decide to investigate with your pod Or if the system is empty, leave it at a planet or empty moon near the site, that way it'll be easier to get back to if u forget to make a BM.

They may have fixed this but never leave your ship too close to your signal when you check it in a pod. If it's too close you'll always end up at the deadspace and be unable to get back to your ship.

I lost my Buzzard recently on a hacking site in 0.0. I first warped into it in a pod and it was empty and i thought, 'sweet I dont have to get my raven I'll just go loot the tins'. I warped in in my buzzard and was decloaked by a cloud 15km away from the first tin. At the same time I decloaked, 7 heavy missile battery appear and wtfpwned my buzzard. WTF is up with that . Anyway, it seems the best idea is to just get a combat ship every time you find a site.

Close the overview before warping in, massively reduced lag, will nearly always let you warp out again after dropping a bookmark before being targetted.

I can confirm that as of today if you eject from your ship and warp to a signature in the pod you run the risk of not being able to warp back to your ship until the deadspace despawns (warping back results in dropping you at the complex entrance). Good thing I did this in a throw away frig and not my covert ops.

for that, warp to a save at least a few au away from the plex, so you can get back to your ship after you have visited the site.
