If they don't use them they don't lose them, but I think in general people aren't using capitals actively since the servers aren't able to support fleet battles atm.

Thing is though there are no super cap losses where the pilot has actually been able to actively fight back, either they're desynched to hell, or offline/crashed out. **** happens though, it lags for both sides, it's just more annoying when you're in a super cap going down while it lags, I guess Yarr |

Shrike was perfectly able to fight back, and his buddy 3 MS with him.
Btw, by this logic 99% of losses in EVE are not "true" losses. 100% kills in a fight where more than 10 pilots participated - are not "fair" fights. Lags and desync are everywhere - but before bobbits told something inline "bah bag learn to fight, bah bah lag is part of the game, it affect us just as much!". I ask them to be consistent in they propaganda. ==============================================

And this is the problem with fielding motherships and titans today, and why almost everyone, on both sides, who previously threw them all over the place, is being much more careful.
With a battleship, if you get desynced, big deal, you lose a battleship.
With a carrier, if you get desynced, big deal, its just a carrier.
With a mothership or titan, if you get desynced, you lose 50-100 billion.
And so, most alliances don't even bother fielding them anymore because if you get a desync, you're dead, plain and simple, and you can't do anything about it.
I wish that CCP would reimburse these losses on both sides until its fixed, but I don't see reimbursement happening, and I don't see it being fixed either.

From what ccp says they can't tell if your experiencing these problems. The logs don't show anything. Also its been proven in the past that even screen shots don't count as evidence in a petition.
So no i don't think they should get them back. It would just cause every pilot to cry desync every time they lose a ship.
What needs to happen is what a lot of threads have stated. Stop rolling out "new features" and "content" and focus on fixing the large issues that we have at the moment.
Oh and nice kill BTW guys!

I see CCP in a crappy position about knowing when they can feasibly reimburse as the desynch does appear to show in the log files. That said, in this case there's at least one simple thing they could test. MC seem to have indicated all 4 MS initiated warp before interdictors landed on top of the MOM's. 3 of 4 got out just fine, the last seemed to think it had but in the end turned out not to have.
Log files should show time that MoM's hit warp and the time that dictors dropped bubbles (and spatial locations i assume) If the bubbles were down before the MoM warped then there's not a lot of chance imho that MC get their ship back. If the log file shows the ships were all aligning to warp before then it becomes a bit more murky i'd say.
A final thing. I've not seen that MC are petitioning the lost publicly stated so all of the above is purely speculation.

if they replace the MS(which they won't), they should replace the hundreds if not thousands lost due to de-sync.

Would be the best feature alive :)
Also @ the op, no one said the server worked fine in F-T, read though the thread and you will see the GBC said it was messed up. I was stuck 3 jumps out as no one could get in.
Cyvok logged with aggression, no where did he state trying to log back in.
Helene did desync and no one is denying it.
As said on our forums it's no biggy, it went down fighting and it's just a MS. It only sucks to see ships like this only go down desynced. I think all MS's have died desynced sadly.
