Hi,
today i tried NPC hunting again since it was possible again after the newest patch.
Killing a few 35k - 85k pirates and checking the loot, i noticed that almost all of the items were BASIC items, such as basic inertia stabilizer and basic nosferatu. What?
I hope thats a bug.

Perhaps you should kill more npcs. Then you'll get more loot. Trust me, you do indeed get good loot from npc pirates.

It varies based on territory. Some systems will drop basic, others will drop tech1

i killed 3 ravens today with some help but the 3rd one dropped the best seige launcher in the game if you ask me the drops are fine.

some crap from 12.5k to 35k rats in 0.3 space.
the bounty is woth more than the loot, so most of the time i leave the loot if its far away.

lol no, well, maybe now, but in the good old days the loot was worth more then the bounty, we were getting up to +10millions for the loot after 1 hour of chaining

Good loot can be found. You just have to hunt for a long time.

It`s just a matter of luck I`d say...
HOWEVER
Killing a 1mil rat , opening the can to find (among normal BS loot) a 1mn Afterburner and some other BASIC hull crap is very very wrong.
(other loot is usualy large/xl shield booster, maybe a siege/heavy launcher and a large turret)
The risk/reward of taking out high npc spawns is not very balanced IMHO.

I teamed up with some friends and this past week of npc killing we scored:
2 counterbalanced weapon mounts.
3 pneumatic stabilizers
1 quad lif
2 lif booster
1 1400mm 'scout' artillery.
More named, non-scout 650mm and 720mm than I can remember.
You can't expect something to drop every time, but for one week's loot I'd like to think we did good |
