Holly Hotdrop	Posted - 2007.08.01 23:30:00 - [1] I posted this in the missions forum, but thought if I actually wanted to get a response I'd be better off posting it here: Sorry, but the Serpenti city only spawns in the Assilot Constellation in Cloud Ring and as such not everyone has access to it. I also suspect it's not working as intended since it's extremely easy to farm as it is. For anyone curious here's how it works: It's a RADAR signature that's fairly easy to find(far easier than even the RADAR sites in low-sec), it drops Core A-types(LAR sells for 6-700m, usually drops multiple mods), Drug BPCs/reactions(worthless, but drops half a dozen) and drug related skillbooks(100-200m, drops multiple books) and it instantly respawns WITHIN THE SAME CONSTELLATION when completed. It's important to note that the constellation is around 4-5 systems and dropping a multi in each system and picking up on a RADAR signature takes very little time, especially with 3-4 farmer alts. Of course I'm only saying this since the isk-farming corp Cosmic Odyssey has been running it 23/7 with 3-4 chars for a few weeks now, it's getting more than just a bit blatant, but CCP doesn't seem to care. Thanks to Kay Han of Friendship 7 Corporation for spreading the word. Isn't this what CCP was trying to avoid with the old complexes? At least they had respawn timers so it couldn't be farmed like that and people could actually contest them fairly easily. Just bring back the old statics before you make something even more broken CCP.

Holly Hotdrop	Posted - 2007.08.01 23:34:00 - [3] Actually running the numbers and time to complete each complex then it shouldn't give more than 20bn a day, but that's still fairly significant considering the outcry over BoB using the titan to jump bridge freighters through trade routes for only a few bill a day.

But it does sound like this might be someone coding it typed the wrong sig strength. So then with the bug report I would suggest a screen shot of the probe signal strength result.

Hmm, I haven't actually been to cloud ring for almost a week and it's a long trip, but it would usually get a hit on the first quest probes within 0.5 AU range, but I didn't note down strength.. Bug report filed anyway, hopefully that'll get a response. :)

This is hardly news to be honest. You should read up on it next time before running to the forums screaming exploit! By the way, exploration scanning is chance based, sometimes you can get a site/complex within 2-3 scans or up to 30+ scans. Yes they are making nice isk, but not 20b a day that's for sure.

With skills at 4s and 2 rigs on a CovOps, it usually takes 45mins to an hour to find a site/complex. Yes it's possible to get a result on first scan which can be followed up by a Sift probe, but this is VERY rare. Ask anyone that does exploration, a person usually spends close to an hour just scanning. So like I said before, there is no way they are clearing 20b a day on these.
