I was on newegg.com. not sure if any of you go there but im not that great of an computer expert. I love using computers though and have always had the desire to have a monster computer. I heard customizing your own comp can achieve a monster computer worth so much but can be purchased at so little since it was customized just for you. So far on newegg.com I have parts in the cart atleast 10 parts. I don't know if these are good parts or not but the result seems alittle more than I expected. I am willing to spend a thousand and maybe alittle more but if possible i was hoping if anybody here knows how to bring the price down alittle more without eliminating so much of the quality of the computer. Maybe recommend better parts for cheaper and also if you can recommend a soundcard. I love to play Massive online games and they require good systems. If anyone can help thanks so much. I'll try to post my cart of the parts i have soon. If anyone can help me please get back to me. Thanks alot.

That's a pretty good system, good choice with the nVidia chipset board. I run an older nF4 SLI Intel Edition board (P5N32-SLI) and I've never had a problem with EVE - even the sound works! :)

i would certainly spend more on the graphics card, a GTX and probably a 24'' widescreen. look for a SATA h/d instead of an IDE
rest looks fine along as m/b supports all your choices

I currently have that board. Manual says it supports 533/667/800 DDR2 memory.

You might consider this prosessor instead E6600 INTEL CORE 2 E6750 2.66GHZ 1333/4M S775
Littlebit cheaper and litle more power (This is new prosessorline just released from intel)
Deffenetly S-ATA HD (Sata-2)320gb is right now the HD to ger comparing capasity/Price
GFX Sounds about right considering the price and pover
If you are installing Vista get 4 Mb memory (Memory price is right now very low) For XP 2 Mb is ok. (Installng more than 3 mb in Xp might couse some problems)
20,1" Or 22" Wide TFT is ok (Difrence in 20" and 22" price is small so i wuld go for 22") |
