NPC rats do, on occasion, spawn (warp in) at stations.
I was docking in Gehi today, when 3-4 15-12k rats warped in behind me. Of course, I dealt with them easily enough.
A hauler might not have been so lucky.

Also take into account that the station is not going to be very happy if you start using smart bombs .
While the bombs maybe smart the station managemnet are not, and you will soon end up in a pod

Interesting event, that will make EVE starting to come alive more
Wouldnt mind seeing actual escordships with the ncp industrial ships that fly in nice rows at stations space

Edited by: Tsual on 31/01/2004 13:47:26 Maybe we will see events like in Freelancer, where battles near stations were relative freequent. --------------------------------------

Big joke. Why do Sentry Guns not rip them apart? From a RP view it's utterly stupid. -------------------------

Seems to me that a certain person is only here to cause as many word wars as they can. By their own admission they have quit playing the game, if they have unsubbed, they shouldn't have the option to come in here and other boards and spread their obnoxious comments just to upset others.

you may find that the pirate corp has a good rating with the stations owners they themselves own quite a few stations

First off for Roleplay events why would you assume the the station would just open up on the pirates. He was after all in Khanid controlled space. How do you know that those pirates weren't on a smuggling mission and the station granted them clerance. There are lots of possible senarios, so lets not just call it a big joke.
Second I think this is the good RP stuff that we would like to see. I like the idea of escorts around the NPC haulers and merchants, especially in .4 sec space and lower. Also this game needs to have more NPC RP events like getting more envoled in the event that you may have stumbled onto. A simple message from the station granting the pirates clerance would have been enough to have put some thoughts into the players mind about why the pirates were there in the first place. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. Sounds like good stuff to me =)

Oh yeah and Carey, I have seen most of your posts and the other guys is right, why don't you just stop being the bitter 12 month old baby you are and cut the proverbial umbilical cord.

/me looks at Carey's 15 latest posts, and agrees with dalman. End yourself. It's an alt anyway, start posting all these flames with your main character.
Btw, if you're SO DAMN tired of the game, just leave now instead of playing your last payed weeks. Please.

The same happened to me in outuni
This must be a bug, i was in an indy, they turned around and headed away from the station on regular impulse.
Did they even target you?

I'm thinking it might have been a bug...although I would have to agree with the other folks around here...npc's in empire will spice things up a bit.
But there have been a few little quirks since the patch.
Yesterday I came across quite a few npc ships that were showing up as "missile" or "torpedo"...one even was tagged "station"...
...using the "look at" function showed them clearly as ships.
Strange stuff.
