I really don't want my enemies to be able to buy my stuff on the market.
The idea is that, when putting up a sales order, you would be able to set some criteria that the buyer has to meet in order for them to be able to purchase.
My thoughts are that the criteria would be based on standings.
When putting up a sell order, you would be able to optionally set a minimum personal standing against it.
This would also mean that you could give discounts to people with high personal standings by setting up multiple buy orders for the same commodity with different standing requirements.
You could also have criteria for people in the same corp, or (sometime in the future) same alliance etc

standing restriction would be awesome :)
able to set that must not be negative standing towards my corp would be great :)

now THATS a cool idea.
Thr npc market could use this also, so if you had a bad standing with an npc corp, their sales orders would not be available to you. |

Yeah not bad idea man but that would **** off alot of people and leave a lot of rats with out the needs to be a rat so it would mess up the game cause no one wants to help a pker

Deadly.. if no one was selling to Pirates, well, the one person who was willing to - would make a LOT of money..
its called profiteering.

Best way would be to use price adjustments by standing. An actual Sanding Tax or VAT. So 10 would mean like half the price, and -10 twice the cost, or similar system. That would also make the actual player standings more than just cool graphics when refering to Empire.
It could easily be used globaly so NPC corps did the same thing, so moving stuff around had some extra mechanisme to consider.

Well, i'd prefer straight restriction by standing, but skillz could be used in the same way as the connections skill to calculate an effective standing etc.

alt characters + self escrow would suck a huge amount of wind out of this idea wouldnt they?
