Despite having played for over a year now I have never paid any attention to R&D. However as I can now fly missions for pretty much any Amarr agent it seems a waste to have all those R&D agents out there and not put them to work - if of course it would be of any value.
So, a number of relative noob questions on R&D.
1) what skills do I need to get an agent to work for me ? - the ones I have spoken too speak about me having the wrong ones.
2) Do I get RP for each mission I fly for the agent ?
3) If I get a high quality lvl 3 or mid range lvl 4 working for me how long before I get a data thingy for sale?

Train the agent skills and you get more points for more missions
All in all it's pretty time consuming

look at the agent info, it gives their areas of specialization.

if you do a mission you double the ammount of rp ou get for that day. only happens once a day.

in that range, with reasonable skills, you should be getting almost one datacore a day.
Why would I bother doing these? Since invention is taking off, this is the only source of datacores in the game. If you have the time and Patience you will be able to get free datacores, and sell them on the market to make easy isk to help fund the fun part of Eve, which is giving CVA a hard time
The R&D Corps of EVE are:

I will assume that everyone will not train the Amarrian R&D corp. The next step is to find a bunch of agents to do missions for to build standing to get access to the best R&D agents (This is the boring part). Since everyone should know how to find agents and pwn in missions I will leave that part out.
To use a sceince agent you have to have the right skills that the agent requires.
To gain RD points:
1. Open RD agent info tab and see what science subjects he specialising in. For example, "Rocket science"
2. Get science skill ( Rocket science) and train it.
3. Start RD project with this agent and earn RD points for doing nothing.
To double RD points:
1. Start conversation with agent you already have a research project and ask him for something to do
2. Accept and complete mission he will dish you. This will double your daily RD points.
Notes:
1. You can only do 1 mission a day per one RD agent.
2. Better standings towards RD agent's corporation = more RD points per day.
3. Higher you train your research project science skill = more RD points per day.
4. Training "Research project management" allow you to run up to 6 research projects.

Thanks - although you wont care for the faction I will be doing research with :) I will do some exerimenting this evening.
