Ok, so I've recently bought a new system due to my old one becoming very out of date. Everything runs smoothly however whenever I alt tab and EvE is in the background the background shows a camera position (which is frozen) that I had minutes and sometimes hours ago. Very hard to explain but I'll give you this pic.

All my graphics drivers are up-to-date. Its nothing really seriously but just annoying if you want to browser forum or check whos talking on vent and still keep an eye on my ship is space.

i dont alt-tab, instead i move the eve window so that the taskbar is in view at the bottom of the screen. you could try that.

Just tried it with my taskbar always shown. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the problem that eve doesn't update in my background until I go back to it.
Any other ideas

I run 2 accounts in window'd mode all the time plus firefox with forums & stuff & alt tabbing never gives me any problems m8. makes it easier to quickly flick thru my screens. dont know what ypur prob is, must just be u :D

evemon is the greatest program ever for running in dual screens in windowed mode without it closing everytime you go screen to screen.
Also works for single screen and allows you to launch much faster and clear caches or settings then undo it afterwards.

i remember having issues like that as well.. not sure what i did to fix it though :(
you could try completely uninstalling your videocard drivers (in windows safemode) and reinstalling them
it's obviously a videocard driver/setting issue so be sure to double check all your windows graphics settings and eve graphic settings
i wish i knew exactly what solved it for me but i honestly can't remember :(
could well be my last reinstall of windows but i wouldn't suggest that to fast and your machine being new should mean a fresh windows anyway

That program is actually called EveLauncher, Still great program, allows me to run 3 game clients and a test server client with ease, but you do have to install multiple clients to use it to its fullest. |
