The good news . . . I started a new skill about 5 mins before server collapse.
The bad news... The bloody server collapsed, couldn't log into account page and forums are even running a bit slow.
 Its all rather poo *said in a very British accent what!*
Account pages are now working. Server supposed to be back up soon.
Message to CCP: Educate the cleaning staff before they are allowed in the server room. Blue plugs are OK for vacuum. Red plugs are BAD for vacuum.

Theres no difference to most people, if you think that complaining is going to get you somewhere and is hence different to whining your delusional

I was in middle of the fight against NPC pirates when the server was lost. Am I dead now and am I gonna loose my ship?!??

Taking bets now as to how many times the "STATUS: STARTING UP (9 MINUTES AND 59 SECONDS)" timer will have to be reset until the server is actually up.
I have 2:1 on 6 times. We're already on 2nd time. Anyone else care to take a chance?

Well, due to the lovely lag issues of today/yesterday, I have lost 2 Minmatar Hurricanes...one insured at full, one not. (I was so mad about the server lag death, I forgot to insure it and went and finished mission and looted my wreck).
For some of you, I am sure loosing 2 ships is nothing. For a totally new player like me about 40 days in, I worked hard to make the ISK I did to buy the first one....and hadn't lost a ship since Day 2....but the last 2 server "lag problems/spikes" have really cost me/set me back.
I am in middle of a Lvl 3 Blockade mission now..... with one of my wrecks inside.... doubt I will be able to get it without help. Guess that's life.
Hope these upgrades they talk about upcoming help fix things....

Just make sure to send in a peition and demand that they reemburse you for your losses.
