SHort answer: you can't.
Long answer: it's technically possible with Nvidia cards, but it splits the controls right down the middle. Basically, looks cool, but completely unplayable.

Not really, it's quite playable once u get used to it, and the advantage of a larger screen area to monitor local and scanner pays off. Besides, haven't u heard of hot keys ?
and u can only get it to work with Nvidia cards with extended desktop mode stretched horizontally.

Edited by: Tigge91862 on 01/02/2004 03:01:02 As said before, at the moment you can't use a true dual-monitor setup because the video card only allows 3D-acceleration on the primary video output. The secondary uses some onboard crappy acceleration that gets you about 4-5 fps. Now, as stated if you have an Nvidia card, you can set it to "horizontal span" I think it's called. This makes it so the computer thinks the two screens are really one, so it works. That's the technical stuff in a nutshell.
As far as playing EVE in a dual-monitor setup...I would say that it sucks. Because your ship and controls are split down the middle. This is why you should get a Triple-monitor setup.
As far as the future goes, this is an excerpt from the last CSM chat:
Quote: Diaftori > Q: when can we (ppl with more than one Screen) expect to have a working interface that doesn't split up the flightcontrols? Couldn't it be done so you got flight controls on one screen and chat and other
Hellmar > we try out best to support multible screens as it is getting more and more common Hellmar > we have to factor in though that a very small % of our customers have more than one screen so we can't spend too much time on it Hellmar > giving Friggi and Kristjßn 2 screens is the best way to get this done, and we have done just that :)
So, that's it in a nutshell, hope this was semi-helpful.
