Just like their pictures? Stop posting. Reallocate funds for Icelandic air fare to developing an integrated player input function in the UI. Then talk directly to the customers with polls to collect demographics and game preferences

If they were exposed, they could get cut or wires exposed, and those wires run directly to your brain. Dont want to die of rust blocking your synapses do you?
Much safer to have them all tucked away under a soft skin, or maybe below the bone. Threads like this generally result in anything positive.

No it's actual hardwiring, meaning your head is hardwired with cables to the ship. So where's the cables |

Maybe, all those metal things that come out your back and connect yourself to your pod, can ALSO connect any subdermal implants to your pod...

so your picture is of you in your ship? I thought we wuz naked in the pod goo
BTW if you ever loaded up CQ you might notice a series of ports running up your spine.....
of course this don't explain the implant pictures... but perhaps CCP thought you might like a visual reference to what is otherwise hidden
The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

Go to you're CQ. Go to the Char Editor. Strip. look at your back.
That is where the hardwirings go. Into the spine. When you are out of your pod, no need for the connection.
EDIT: blah other people were first... would have seen that had I read past the OP... |

Funny thing there, I typed it correctly the first time but messed up the end and backspaced too far.
Anyway, I am a member of the grammar allies, and we support the right to mis... grammaring. |

So where's the cables go into CQ, look at the abck of your enck, all down your character's spine there are matrix-style jack-in USB ports, the "hardwiring" for jacking into the ship is attached to your central nervous system through these, as for implants, they are just that, IMPLANTS, as in INTERNAL... they are below the skin adn bone interfacing directly with your brain and nervous system to help your body operate your ship more effectively depending on what type of implant it is, NOTHING is external, because it doesnt need to be and lore wise would be a vulnerability. |

My guess: The Hardwirings are on you spine; that's what you see when you take you're shirt off and look at the back of your character. |
