It looks like the burning crusade expansion but with a different lick of paint.
Wrath of the Lich King expansion
Soon you will be able to grind to Lv 80 which will take about the same agonizing time as it took you to grind from 0 to 70! You will be grinding until you DIE...of boredom or the next (now yearly) expansion comes out which will - and i'm just poking in the dark here...be another grindfest to Lv 90!
That's right another new island to quest in aka 'collect 40 of this you idiot', 'kill 20 of that you moron', 'now do it all again for a cookie'.
Even more pointless reputations to grind in areas that soon become deadzones, all this while your character makes 0 impact or footprint in the game world.
Now this isn't just a bash wow thread because EVE's PVE missions are just as - if not more tedious as wows quests and need a lot more work.
As much as I see through 'the loop' theres 9 million people that are quite content with it so good luck to them. Although i'd like to see wow evolve into something more than repetitive grinds for loot, rep or levels, its not gonna happen.
So..
/dance
Go get those epix, gotta catch em all! lol

You'd be surprised how many EVE players play WoW too. They're different games and they cater to different markets. How do you logically compare the content of a space sim with a fantasy role playing game?
Incidentally I don't play WoW because I find it boring. I do have a blast at it every 4-6 months though when I'm bored of EVE.

you forgot to mention the oine thing that might be expanding on the game with.
catipuls and building that can be destroyed.
If wow is good for one thing it's the PvP battegrounds, because they are more than simple fight each other in the face things.
but they are only fun is you are max level. and thus are useless. Because I don't want to grind. ----------------------------------- I'm working my way through college target CCP

Your kidding right?
If you think eve pvp is fighting each other in the face than you're doing it wrong. You have your tracking, your speed, your health, cap, ecm strength, sensor strength, target range, sig radius, gun sig radius and such to think about. Sure you fit them on before you leave for action while in WoW your abilities are all laid out infront of you but frankly WoW is just pressing buttons in the right order, where eve is pressing buttons in the right order...and praying (Which is all the more funner).
Yes I play WoW, yes I've played it for a while, Yes I think it's pvp is the worst piece of crap that came from a developers arse.
But I must admit the ability to just enter pvp when you want is nice..but it frankly just lacks the danger.

Correct. I'm a Eve and LOTRO man myself. That gives me a PVE game and a RVR game. Theres tons of people out there who play mutliple mmo's and have multiple accounts for each which to me which is insane the amount of money they spend on this.
I did the math on Team Wizzy once from dark age (one guy running 7 characters from 7 pcs at the same time) and he dished out $740 a year to play dark age.

Guild Wars: Eye of the North, which throws in some wintry areas along with forest fires (which someone elsewhere said also features in this WoW expansion.) - in fact, GW's login and char select screen just got a nice little update (Goodbye North African style, hello snowy mountains.)
And yes. I am aware that both WoW and GW are different beasts, but...

Well tbh, most people have known for ages that Northrend would be the next major expansion in WoW (following the Frozen Throne stuff in Warcraft III). It seems like GW ripped the idea off of Warcraft if anything. Dunno though, I don't work for either company :p

Played wow for quite some time , but like someone said it really is a big grind game (mainly the rep grind wich is ******* ********) . It does have good parts but it gets overshaduwed by the bad parts ( atleast on my side)
I have to say i had my fun with the game for quite some time , but EvE is just alot deeper and on a bigger scale wich attracted me more on the long run.

I do believe that's the exact level I ejected too. My crafty ways with the auction hall and fishing could only sustain me for so long. You couldn't really PvP with any success with run off the mill gear anyways.

Yup. <3 Warhammer... I only ever collected a WH40K army though... I sucked at painting (they're sitting in my closet now... been meaning to get em out and give another shot at it sometime when I've got some free time haha).

When you consider how much GW initially ripped off or borrowed from a plethora of sources it seems to me to be a little odd when people complain wow ripped off GW. (I love GW by the way, I collect 3 40k armies and run an inquisitor group) |

You're not actually ill-informed enough to believe gw invented orcs and goblins are you? Because that would be sad. If you're instead talking about wow's implementation of orcs and goblins, you'd also be wrong unfortunately, as they're presented in a completely different light. Only correlation is that they're both green

The Orc and Goblin were the creation of Tolkien's imagination, where they not? Thats what I've always thought.

Well I always thought that Orc's and Goblins were created back in the dark ages along with vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and many other things.
Ghosts may have been sooner.
We just continue to retell those stories from generation to generation and ours just marketed on it.
Chances are the real orcs and goblins were most likely deformed men and women who were outcasted by civilization.

Tolkien pretty much set the standard. As far as I'm aware, "Orc" was entirely a Tolkien invention- he took the word from the Old English "Orc" for "demon". What we now consider as an "Orc" (muscely aggressive human, with funny coloured skin) is entirely derived from Tolkien.
"Goblin", as a word, has been in use a lot longer (since the middle ages, at least) to refer to a sort of mischievous spirit. The irony here is that Tolkien only used the word explicitly in his Middle Earth books as a synonym for Orcs, used by the Shire Hobbits as a quaint colloquialism, so as to make them seem more isolated from the other worldly adventurers. The current usage (as a smaller Orc) seems to be a hybrid of Tolkien's use of the the term as a synonym for Orcs and the classic representation of them being a small spirit. Dungeons & Dragons may be able to claim some credit here, as one of the first to popularise this type of "little Orc" Goblin. Warhammer came hot on it's heals with it's "green Orcs and Goblins", which acts as the basis for a lot of later fiction (including Warcraft, which was, essentially and unashamedly, "Warhammer RTS").
