I recently came into a 1400 scout, and being a poor man I wish to sell it.

and a 720mm cruiser scout can sell for more than you offered... serious? heh
its probably the only 1400mm scout up for sale in eve to date

OK so I notice alot of people are not taking the amount I requested the bid start at seriously. I feel the need to highlight the fact that this gun is superior to the stock 1400 mm howizter in almost all regards. The only thing that is similar is the ROF and the capacity.
The 1400 scout has better damage mod, tracking, optimal range and fitting requirements than the stock gun. This means that if you are using one you will hit harder, with greater accuracy and further range than your comrades |

After thought i withdraw my 45m offer. I'll make yet another space tempest instead. (My corp mates think im mad offering 45m :P) GL in selling for 90m

So the weekend came and went and not one serious offer. This item does not just drop on its own. This is the holy grail of projectile weapons and lots of manpower, time, sweat and blood went into acquiring this item.
Many pointed to the fact that this character is an alt and therefore must be a scammer. I'm not a scammer and its just that I don't want to attract attention to my main character when I do high profile trades like this.
In any case, I'm taking it off the market now and will be talking to my network of contacts to see if I can speak to some buyers who are serious about acquiring this item.

40mil i offered, thats 40 sweet miljoin without delivering it too me and me picking it up.
Please do remember that this gun itself isn't worth the cost of a battleship, and im wondering myself if im not insane by offering 40mil myself.

Agreed the gun isn't worth that much and I've seen the 425mm named go for 40-60mil max. Personally anything over 50mil that can't fly isn't worth it.

and you never know how common it will be in the near future. CCP changes drop frequencies all time without notifying the player base. For example, there have been several offers of XL C5-L:s lately - an item which was ultra rare just a few weeks ago. I would have taken that 40 mil offer.

Reason: Nobody else has any for sale and I've never seen CCP make loot more common. If anything this item might become more rare.

Individual rarity of weapons doesnt help drive the price up.
You need to have a group of such weapons to make a decent difference to the overall weapons platform (bship).
Ironcially with weapons you can get a better rpice for selling 4 or 5 of them than selling one of the... one of a weapon is often, esentially, nothing more than curiosity value.

Bullsht, once heavy modulated energy beams were the top guns and they were selling for 3mil each.
Npc's were changed and drops were lowered, resulting in a raise of 5mil resulting in my heavy modulated beams were 10-12 mil in top cases.
Now their a bit more common and they cost around 8mil now.
250mm proto railguns were 8 mil, now im lucky if i find a buyer for 4mil. (they drop alot in Venal).
And so on.
And when tech2 arrives your gun is useless as the cu vapor is now compared to the tech2 mining laser.
-edit- i retract my offer for 40mil.
