I have all the T2 small ship type skills (Assault, Interdictor, Interceptor, Covops) at 4 and Caldari Frigate 5. Other frigate types at 3 (it's handy to be able to buy & fly whatever small ships are available sometimes).
1.6M SP in gunnery, with small hybrids at 5, other turret types at one. Support skills to 4. 800k in missiles; support skills lacking (Bombardment at 4, Projection training to 4, others at 1 or 2)
I am thinking of training another racial frigate skill to 5 to open up a new set of T2 frigates. What are your suggestions? I'm told that the Sabre is the best dictor, for instance. Or should I focus on the Caldari ships and get the Interdictor/Interceptor/Covops skills to 5 (I'm not going to train assault ships to 5).

You've trained Caldari, so I assume you've been focusing on shield abilities. Minmatar would be nice. --- :D |

Going for all races in the beginning (just to be versatile) is a mistake imho.

Thx.
yeah I have Shield Management / Ops both at 5.
Some armour skills, but not as good. Only about 600k in Mechanics skills, most of that in mechanic 5. I guess I should get Hull Upgrades 5 before getting in to T2 Amaar/Gallante ships, eh?

Mmm, well, I'm at around 14M SP, so it depends on your definition of "beginning". I can fly a Drake/Raven well enough to rat and mission, but most of my points are focused towards being useful in smaller ships (or in skills which are useful in all ships)

I'm way behind you, but thinking of getting interceptors. I'm aiming for Minmatar, 'cause they're simply the best, but I'd choose a second one for lower cost (in your case, that would be the Caldari you already have). Minmatar are the only ships aside from Caldari that really benefit from shields. Gallente uses hybrids though, so I guess that'd be a quick second pick. ---

Training either small projectiles or small lasers won't take long.
