A little Historical Background
During WWII, There was some discussion amongst the 2 allies, US and UK, about whether to actually invade Normandy and open the Western Front.

The question was raised: If Germany IS our enemy, and the Soviet Union WILL BE our enemy, and they are currently killing each other in record numbers, why is this a bad thing, and why should we try to stop it?

Now I will let you substitute who is BoB and who is RCF in the historical example yourselves...

Perhaps most of us are hoping neither of you will gain domination in this war. Maybe we are hoping both of you will just bleed each other white.

For those of you (which would actually be the vast majority of you) who missed my point on page one. Notice it conveys the same message, without a historical example.

I'm actually impressed how easily distracted you all get. 5 Pages of posts about the Historical Analogy and various other knuckleheads who were completely confused about the main idea.
