tbh only Kalshrith's site came close to being of any real use to everybody.
To maintain track of all the various alliances etc is hellishly difficult (once you get beyond the 3 or 4 big name regional allainces there are dozens of smaller ones most unheard of) only Kal did it particularly well.
Just before Kal left he made his files avilable (on request) to a few folks and we're chasing those down now. Once we get them I will try to update as best I can.
Bear in mind that their are changes imminent in the galaxy with new routes between various regions - expect a lot of changes and upset and strategic rethinks over the next few weeks...
(maybe even next week if its released then)

Kal's map is *still* my wallpaper
 as f**k - hope someone attempts an update but i appreciate it's a big job.

Well, would it be possible to make a simpler map that just shows the bigger alliances that everyone cares about? I'm sure that as the map becomes available the smaller alliance folks will quickly come forward looking to be added to the map :)
Anyone from any alliances care to post on this thread what regions you claim, and your war/peace status with others?

even smaller alliances should not be taken lightly. even if they only control a contsellation or 2 in .4 space they could still be a problem if they dont like outsiders. in my opinion id say its best to have all alliances shown on the map, or at least those who post here and would like to be known.
