Is it just us or are there others where only a fraction of the members are showing when you try to hold an expulsion vote?

Does everybody in the corp have shares? I really don't like thinking how many missions I've done over time, or how long they've taken on average. |

Only people who have shares get to vote, I think.

What worries me is that 9 out of 13 people who have shares aren't even in our corp any more ... how do we get the things back? Well, we can't yet, I know ... annoying though.

Edited by: Danton Marcellus on 02/02/2004 11:53:35 Everybody has shares except the occasional alt which was what we were going to expel anyways, still does not explain why they don't show.
To clarify further, it's not about who gets to vote, it's about who we can hold this vote against...

Unless I am very much mistaken, this is a bug. I petitioned CCP about it recently (or to be more accurate - I petitioned about being unable to expel members who are not online).
I guess the good news is that they know about it; the bad news is that they don't know what is causing it.
I personally don't think that shares are the issue - there were people on the "vote to kick" list who had shares - and people not on the list who I know have none.
In the interim, if you haven't already, cut the individuals' access to hangers off and vote out who you can. As you lose these members, more will appear on the list (maybe not all the ones you need, but its a partial solution).
I guess though, ultimately, you may need to bite the bullet and do what I had to do - and train up your Management skill.
Lets hope CCP find the solution soon.

What the issue Really is, is the need to vote at all - this is a corp it only takes 1 person to accept and app - but a vote to expel - come'on only booting a director should there ever be a vote Chief Security Officer - Kusari Systems

Huh.
I am a Director of my corp, and I was able to successfully expel 2 members who were not logged on (they had told me offline that their subscriptions ran out). Are you sure this is a bug, not being able to expel people who are offline?
RE: Shares and "getting them back." I used to work for a large company. I got stock options. So now I own some stock in that company, let's call it Acme Widgets Corporation. So when I quit, I have to give back my shares? Huh? What planet is that on?
Look, a person puts time or effort into a corp, they earn shares (however you do it), it is their business what to do with them. Right?
Anyway...
Are we sure there's a bug? Or are people assuming there's a bug and not trying it out?

I found that kicking them out works post patch. However there is another issue. You can't remove them if they aren't docked. This had a purpose in that people were using this method to cause aggression during a war, then abruptly quit the corp they were in. Thus when you fired back, you were firing on an innocent, not on a member of a corp you were at war with.
I petitioned this also and was informed that this is an issue they are working on.

Oh and that alt happens to be logged off in space and is always showing in our display 'show members in space' despite not actually been logged on for what 2 months.
