It's impossible to sell them on the normal market. And as I hate sitting yelling on the Trade channel and travel around to sell my goods or putting things on escrow, it's up to you to contact me.

Edited by: Kretin Arnon on 02/02/2004 12:15:34 I really shouldn't post this, but here is the mission description. I'll let you guess the details:
Ambush The Personel Tranport =======================
Mission briefing: ----------------------- A personel transport was detected flying through Ney, reportedly wearing the logo of *beep*, which as you might know is one of the major corporations within the *beep*. Our surveillance team scanned the transport ship and discovered a few prominent professors among the passengers, who we would very much like to get our hands on. I want you to ambush the convoy and bring the VIPs back to me, you can do whatever you want with anything or anyone else you find on board, they aren't worth our time. I expect the professors back here in no less than 2 hours, in good condition if possible. We expect to recieve a mighty high ransom for people as important as this.
Edit: Added some beeps. You don't need to know anyway

It makes sense actually. CCP's been trying to push people out of empire space for a while. They appear to have some hatred of carebears. The agent system, given Papa's statements, didn't appear to be a major source of time use, but with the implant and R&D changes, it became an accepted evocation. Nerfing the pay to change this created an outcry, so the next step is to say "Well, if they want it, push 'em out of empire space"
Honestly, pirate Agents have always been red-headed step children, not giving out implants, or boosters, or ANYTHING of use really previously. It seems only fair, even if it's basically impossible for a non-alliance person to be a pirate agent runner due to the location of all the level-1 and low-quality level-2 pirate agents which are all basically clumped together in 2 heavily controlled areas (especially since bases in 0.0 are so rare, that your agent is somewhere that basically half the alliance who wants to kill you LIVES at).
But whatever. -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

I got 48 science graduate from my Republic University agent.
The mission is to transport them from X to Y, but you have to fail the mission to keep them.
The first time i got that mission i was thinking it would be like the homeless mission were some stay in your hangar, but i was wrong, they don't stay in your hangar

some of the science graduates you transported refuse to leave your hangar as they claim they will be forced to experiment on small cute fluffy animals which is against their principles :)

You can get them from Level 1 agents of the Universites. I got to transport 12 graduate students on the 5th mission. I told my agent that i accidently ejected them and he called me alot of nasty things. |

only 20 graduates from a level 2 agent but i only did a handful of level 1 missions before being able to grab a low grade level 2. Plus the standing drop was less than the increase for the next mission

Damn, so now others can get them too. To bad for me I guess. Well at least the escorts have started to drop loot, but I think people failing their mission to get graduates should get an equally standing penalty as we do for completing ours. -0.2 pr. mission

Edited by: Kretin Arnon on 18/02/2004 06:19:20 Yes, I can see the price is too high for an item you can now get by an easy piecy level 1 courier mission anybody can do. But before the patch they were only available as a level 3 mission by agents working for the pirate factions. And to get them you have to fight off 4 very nasty escort ships with a value of 50k each and expose yourself to attack to any trigger-happy player passing by. And even when you complete the mission you get a severe faction standing hit.
Now it's merely a waste of time to sell them I guess.

This has to take the cake as the most worthless / least thought-out mission of them all. Too frequently is my research agent asking for something that basically doesn't exist in-game (ie. not available in market, not readily available in missions, monopolized by other PC who "got lucky").

Now this I don't get. How can you complain about not being able to get science graduates when I'm complaining I can't get rid of mine? If you don't want to pay the price that's fair, but that's the way it works.
My respect goes to the players dedicated to research who spend all their time travelling around acquirering the needed materials with the funds their corporation naturally is supplying them with. Not those who think they can do it all by themselves.

The only problem I have with the sience grads is that there seems to be no "legal" way of geting them. You either get them from pirate missions (ie blow up convoy, kidnap the survivors) or you kidnap them from "legal" corps by failling transport missions. So, any one who has sience grads must have done one of thous activities and by buying from them I would endorse such activities.
Ergo, there is NO way to get sciense grads for some one who likes to rolleplay a lawfull character. |

That's a valid point Fritz. One of my first customers were from The Peoples Front of Minmatar though.
You could roleplay you're paying me ransom money to get a workforce.
As a casual roleplayer too I would never sell people anywere outside Amarr space.
