Ive seen people asking this question before but mainly being asked by pirates and being answered by them also.
So i say all you yarr's take a step back from this post and see what the rest of eve think about who are the baddest and best pirate's.
Im gonna ask that we keep it simple and just have a top 3. And mine are as follows.
1. VALE HEAVY INDUSTRIES. (molotov coalition). (These guys are uber pvp's)
2. VETO CORP (Veto). Havnt had many dealings with veto tbh, but for some reason when we are in ops to there space i always feel uneasy about the outcome (yet to be a bad one).
3. LIBERTY ROGUES. I hate to say these guys because there ceo waxau makes me wanna rip my face off, but they are a dangerous bunch.
So thats my 3 and i look forward to seeing others points of view. Pirates please try not to flame this post as it will show you all a fair reflection of how you are effecting people in eve with all your yarr.

I remember these guys kicking me out because I wanted them to use their Vent server when in a gang 
Anyway, I agree with Veto as #1. Most pirates thesedays seem to be just blobs (VHI being one example). I've seen Veot in blobs before but usually spot them in 1-3 man groups

only difference is that MLTOV is mostly lowsec compare to orther who are mostly 0.0.
they are all uber pvper ;)

1- Xenobytes - Corp in the Stain Empire alliance. Bunch of tightly working 0.0 roamers. Good fun fighting with.
2- The Roning - Rumours say they are BoB alts... dunno if it's true. Nice bunch of PvPers.
3- Sybrit - Quite new corp. They're good at shooting stuff...
I've never fought VHI nor Veto... so I dunno how much dmg they can do.

VHI are win and good, yes, but I feel you would be biased towards choosing them as number 1 since you were their prime targets for a while.
Best corp, I couldn't say, I don't really care too much who thinks who is best, aslong as I stay alive and make ISK.

From an anti-pie view and from my experience I would place S******dly on top, though I think they are in a 0.0 alliance now. Veto next, although not sure if they are still pirates or mercs or both.
VHI are good pvpers indeed but I have a hard time naming them as pirates since half have positive sec stats, that makes them a bit harder to hunt near sentrys 
Infinitus Odium have some force in a few systems, the same can be said for The United in the Hagilur pocket.
Snowy and Kleptos, though mostly pvp farmers, were very efective. mUfFiN fAcToRy used to be very dangerous in the vicinity of Amamake as well.
Probably a lot more good pirate corps, these are the ones I actually saw in action for some time.

You do realize that they had to pass a special ordinance in Scotland not too long ago calling for the standard width of all doors to be increased by half a meter to accommodate Cairo Dog's gigantic head? Well thanks to this thread, all of that work will be for naught.
I just hope that Megasaxon with his interstate-sized ego doesn't see this. Oh the huge manatee!

Well I can say from personal experience with these corps that I think they got what it takes to be PIMP!!!
Veto = Top dog but, didn't they more or less go merc?
BEES = Yea they do actually swarm in sometimes...You see one you will soon see a few more...
MuFFiN FacTorY = definately been around and got the SP in their corp to run over people as well. Though they did mostly go the High Sec war way for a while.
Yes this thread is pointless but hey Make THEM EG(0)'s bigger...
BTW, On a side note. Best Merc corp/alliance = MC, Merc Coalition, never personally experienced their forces but I've heard too much for it to be disregarded.

I would not call them the best pirates around, but we reacently had a few encounters with them and they bring it and they are quick to adapt. Lets hope we can get some good fights in the future ;)

Also people are just throwing out Veto because of how well known they are. Yes they are good pirates but I hardly think they are the best, furthermore I hardly think ANY corp could be called "The Best".

Top pirate corps to me are corps that aren't complete push-overs:
1. Veto
2. FZN (and to some extend Endgame.)
3. Old Snigg
I see a lot of people list INFOD as one of the top pirate corps. When I left INFOD they had over 40 entities set to positive, and few of them were paying for it.

It's hard to put all pirate corps in 1 basket these days tbh. There are so many different types around. From Fricks, to Snigg, to infod and ourselves the combat style is so different and strengths are in all areas.

I thought vhi, and molotov where anti-pies? they fight like anti-pies, weird.
Anyone can be good when it's 20v1, the pirate corps i have respect for don't need 14 ships to take out a cruiser.
Solo/small gang warfare = respect
Blob/massive ew warfare = flavor of the month/skilless

Huh? You don't have to be an outlaw to be a pirate, and it may seem like we're anti-pies because when our sec status gets too low we try not to shoot people not worth it; flashies make for good fun though (VHI anyway). Look at BEES and CPP if you think MLTOV are anti-pies :p.
I dunno if the last comment about 20v1 was directed towards us but regardless, you can't tell people to go away when they're in gang ready to kill something and a single cruiser jumps in. We get plenty of fights where we are outnumbered, people just choose to ignore those and play the "OMG BLOB" card anyway. Now...if people won't undock to kill a cruiser sitting outside the station until there are 10+ of them, that's a different story :p

Agreed. You can't just ask that basic question anymore. Pirating must be broken down into separate categories for any sense of accuracy to be established.
For example, some Pirate Corps do nothing but farm ISK at gates, some Pirate Corps do nothing but roam/probe mission runners/belt hunt, some Pirate Corps blend a mixture of these aspects.
There are Pirate Corps that are very small but insanely effective, consistently against the odds (outnumbered/outgunned).
There are Pirate Corps that make a habit of spamming Cap Ships during even number engagements.
There are Pirate Corps that are very large and generally brutalize everyone in their path because they nearly always have a numerical superiority.
It goes on and on.
Next month, when we have this same thread pop up, but with a different author, can we get the questions to be more specific please

some good choices here but i'm gonna have to say that MAFIA back in the day were the best and im not sure if anyone has come close to being that good yet...
ive been away a while now so cant really say whos the best atm because alot of the 'pirate corps' i knew/know change what they are every 2 mins ie there bounty hunters one min then pirates the next! no consistency these days

Of course, it will happen again, and again, and again. The title will occaisionally differ, and someone will try and put a new slant on it (for example, this thread is for antipirates to list who they think the best pirate corps are).
The next one I predict will be "Carebears! Who do you think the best pirate corps are?" It would be an epic thread, filled with about 3 replies (considering how often most carebears check C&P) all saying "I hate pirates! They're all scum and evil criminals in real life!"

I can assure you that Molotov is not anti-pirate. Although VHI makes up most of the member count, and most, if not all of them are not blinky, there are still a few corps, including my own that are all outlaws.
As far as the best pirate corps go, it's hard to say.
I'd like to think that Veto., and The Movement were pretty good. A few others I wanted to list, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
