Edited by: InfoMaryChain on 09/08/2007 21:16:05 Edited by: InfoMaryChain on 09/08/2007 21:00:57 Well, a new space mmorpg has born in the world.
Please Register and review the alpha stage of development at:
http://www.wild-space.net (ALPHA STAGE)
Game Description:
Wild Space is a massive multiplayer online game. Where players use fuel that are accomulated over time to trade goods, drugs, crystals, etc and build empires and take over that specific Galaxy.
If you are not familiar with online multipayer turn based games, don't worry, follow this quick start guide and you will be on your way to dominance of your virtual empire online, not to mention hours and hours of lost sleep to feed your addiction...
You are the captain of a space ship, your mission is to go from sector to sector trading different things in order to make a profit. Then when your profit grows, you go upgrade your ship and make it bigger so you can carry more stuff and make more money. You will find different planets as you move around, some are empty, some are owned by other players. You can claim empty planets and move people there and make it big, or you can attack other players' ships or planets if your ship has good weapon and armor. Everything you do well will earn you points, and at the end of the day, if you are not killed by another player and you have a high score, then you are learning to play the game...
Well, after this intro i have only one thing to say: Have a nice gameplay... And if any kind of problem encountered please there¦s no problem on hassling the Support.

Best Regards Game Admin...

I played a similar sort of game once.. I had my little ship and I was mining stuff and selling it and I saved and saved and saved and bought a better ship then suddenly I was destroyed by another player. I didn't even know I had been attacked. it was like "You have been attacked and destroyed, Game over" and that was it, game over... I was like

There are at least ten thousand games of the exact same sort that use accumulated turns and a web-based interface.
Unless yours has something special to offer that the other 9,999 don't, its just as worthless as all the rest.

Well, this one is beeing made has we speak and was made with players in mind, so for starters its free, not a space rpg made of python were people pay 20Ç a month and because off poor study and design and implementation its got to go doen for maintenance every day. I mean, Thats why there are clusters people, for HA (High Availability) because people paying cannot by any means become widought the game. I mean thats someting that, with 20 years of systems engineering, i have never seen. The other side is that, well, your not gonna die just like that, i mean, there are currently 5296 sectors and 9360 stations with 279 planets. currently, NPC¦s there are just 3 and they are just for Alpha testing purposes. Well, i supose it would be nice if someone with a negative, anti-constructive critic to stay shut, cause, if your too young to remember, the "net" stated with BBS and by people like us "developers" trowing code on the air.
Just give it a shot, its not a bad thing, its a nice thing man.
Best Regards

What the hell are you going on about. On your forums theres a post saying that you have to pay a monthly sub after your 2 day free trial. It is therefore not a free game.
Unless i'm wrong...which has happened on rare occasions. --------

I¦ll reply to that with the Dir¦s Post:
1. Unless amended in this set of rules, the EVE Forum rules apply in this forum.
2. Unlike all other forums on the website, all posts here doesnÆt have to be related to EVE. In fact, they canÆt be related to EVE. The purpose of this forum is for all posts not related to EVE.
3. Discussions about politics and religion not allowed, there are other websites with forums for these topics.
4. ôQuit postsö allowed, however we ask you to only post that youÆre leaving and say goodbye to your friends, rants and unconstructive posts will be removed.
5. You are allowed to discuss other games as long as it is constructive and not related to EVE.
6. We remind you that forum rule 10 still applies in this forum. ôThe posting of ****ography; discriminatory remarks which are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; excessive obscene or vulgar language; posts which discuss or illustrate illegal activity; providing links to sites that contain any of the aforementioned.ö
7. It shouldn't be necessary to do so, but it appears that some players feel the need to inflict their viewpoints on race, religion, politics, and other hot topic opinions on other players. These discussions will not be tolerated anywhere on the EVE forums. Players that cannot follow this guideline can lose their posting privileges immediately. This is the sole warning that will be issued regarding this.
Other than that, enjoy and have fun!

The fact you were comparing this quite inferiour game to eve and being negative about certain eve issues makes your post related to eve. --------

I was actually gonna check this out til you started beating down Eve.
Maybe you should leave the advertising to your marketing guys; I mean, George Lucas didn't turn up at a Star Trek movie and start shouting "Star Trek is ****! Come with me and watch Star Wars!" he left the marketing to people who know what they're doing.
As for clusters, it's exactly that kind of sharded gameplay and it's accompanying uncertainty that has stopped me from playing WoW. The fact that when you log onto Eve you're potentially playing alongside 30,000 people is what makes the game so attractive, the universe is alive and fluid; you can't say the same for a sharded MMO.
Daily downtime is a necessary thing and most of us don't bother about it - come to think of it's probably a good thing as it forces us to unplug for an hour or so and wind down.

To be honest, it's that little paragraph that says to me that you've never been a real EVE player. If you'd played EVE, you'd know that thats exactly the reason most of us play this game. Not because it has spaceships. --------

Actually, this site was being spammed a few weeks ago. Looked like a blatant malware vehicle (or possibly a credit card phisher, judging by the subscription request) due to the fact that most of the artwork was nicked, the "screen shots" were from a different game, and most of the links on the site were about:blanks. It got locked pretty fast.
Dunno if the site is more believable now, because I'm not stupid enough to click the link. --------

Well I just checked this site out and as I have just recently reformatted my pc and Im lazy I only have ZoneAlarm protecting my PC. After a minute of being on the wild-space website I get zonealarm asking me if I want to allow "LSA Shell (Export Version" connections to the internet. Application Isass.exe. I would put money on it that its a virus as I remember something about a real bad virus ages ago that used Isass or something.
Anyways, Id keep well away from this site, most of all it is crap anyway so not worth bothering with.
