Some of you out there may be running a full nosboat Myrmidon. Well, for those of you that like doing that, I have ship set up specially for you :)
This ship is designed to incapacitate your target, then open him up wide to hurt from your drones. The idea is take out their cap, then take them out.
Here we go!
Highs: 3 50W Neutralizers 1 Medium Nosferatu (Any flavor) 2 Small Nosferatu II
Mids: Sensor Booster II (Can be swapped for ECCM depending on your situation) Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster w/ 800s Warp Disruptor II Stasis Webifier II 10mn MicroWarpdrive (Or Y-T8, however t2 will have fitting problems)
Lows: 2x Medium Armor Repairer II Armor Thermic Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Armor Explosive Hardener II Damage Control II
Drones: 5x Heavies of your choice (I use Thermal due to the fact that it has the highest damage mod.. as well as the most effective against many ships' base resistances)
Rigs: 1x Nanobot Accelerator II 2x Auxiliary Nanopump I
It's nice. Expensive, but nice. If you're concerned with the price, knock the t2 Nanobot Accelerator off in favor of a t1. It'll save you some cap and some money.
Okay so, basically, mash all your nos on straight away, and then split your 50Ws about one every 3 seconds to keep his cap depleting evenly. Then, sic your drones. STAY NEAR YOUR DRONES. Obviously, you want to engage your target as close to point blank as possible, because your drones are your only DPS in this setup. If your drones take fire, recall, re-release. Get your target's cap wiped out. You'll know he's dry once either his hardeners turn off (shields), if he stops firing (non-projectile), or if he just looks stupified. At that point stop spinning your cap boosters and continue the nossing.
Works for me :) I have a high kill/loss ratio in this setup, and I'm very proud of my ship. Those of you that say "Drones only? wtf!", this thread isn't for you :P _________________ Burn. |

I hope your talking of a setup you use right now before the NOS nerf right?
If this setup is for the future 'after the NOS nerf' well then your cap booster will negate your NOS so this setup is only viable till 'NOS nerf'.
Hells
Let me liberate you of your T2 mods. T2 mods are dropping in price, because of invention?? No its because of pirates. |

Nah man, it works out great! Use the 800s to run my reppers, and then the Nos will stay alive!
You have to realize man that this ship is BALANCED. It has a good mix going for it. _________________ Burn. |

99% of all BC+ sized ships use cap boosters too and its not like a myrm can carry much more boosters than another BC, wont even speak about a BS... so i dont rly get why people waste _all_ their hislots for nos/neuts if u fit some guns u deal a sh**load of dmg and prolly get the enemy down before he used all his boosters...

Edited by: Talasan on 10/08/2007 09:28:51 T2 webs suck, use fleeting and a nos myr is hardly anything new...........
personally i prefer using guns, nos is a womans tactic, thank god for the nerf incoming :)
and wasting all that isk on nanobot acc T2's is a waste can buy some command ships for the cost, can your injector keep up with their speed of cycle? prob better off with 3 aux nano pumps for cap efficiency
prob sounds harsh, but thats my view :)

For the price, T2 webs are a bargain, sir.
(This setup allows me to get away with the extra CPU, and I'm not sweating 2 cap every 5 seconds.)
Further, 3 Aux Nanopumps, while a good idea in theory, do not deliver. 2 do. 3 is a waste. It's better to get a single faster rep cycle. And yes, my cap booster can keep up.
Remember, the mods aren't in control of you. You are in control of your mods. So long as you remember that, you can win. _________________ Burn. |

You don't attack Drakes do you? And if you do it's only if the pilot is very young.
Passive Drake will own you and all your expensive stuff.
I have no fear of a single flight of drones (even ECMs. It's called FOF). If my cap goes poof!! I know the foolish myrm pilot has no guns. No guns and you can't break a Drake even with all the actives turned off by your NOS. Fact. After the nos nerf you won't even kill noob Drake pilots with that.
I can't tackle you but that's another story. (But maybe I can )

see the setup looks good and all but if that's a solo setup ur gopnna struggle against anyone who knows what they're doing. because ur only damage is from 5 drones, the first person who knows what they're doing are gonna realise that and just blow them up meaning u have zero dps.
Not saying the setup won't work but i just hate relying on 5 drones, only works solo against nubs really. great gang setup tho.

We just web and scram a Drake while nossing for armor rep. Then we wait till some heavy hitters come and cream your Drake. Do it enough times and people will learn.

TBH, I've had a really low success rate against Nos Myrms with my Drake. Even assuming I get them tackled, and kill their DPS, they simply nos all my cap away and warp off. I don't see this being any different after the nos nerf either.
FYI: I've lost a Dominix kill and 2 solo Myrmidon kills this way. ;_;
