Has CCP released any stories or articles detailing the RP story behinds the ships emergency warpout when you log in?
Ive been thinking on it for awhile and been thinking of writing a backstory to it but I wanna make sure that there isnt already one posted for the backstory of the emergency warpout

In case of an accidental loss of communication between the ship and the pod, due to electrical fluctuations, Aura immediatly engages the warp drives. This function was created to prevent pilots in precarious situations from experiencing untimely clone activation, on top of the unfortunate loss of their ship.
Upon the connection being restorted, Aura reverses her warp, and restores all control to the capsuleer.

Aura also has a tendency to read the forums too much and generally change stuff when people whine enough. ---

pfft. Backstory? How about the concept its a game?
Of course if you HAD to have a backstory for emergency warps, how about starting with the concept you aren't logged into the server 24 hours a day, that the "universe" ceases to exist for an hour a day, that when you log out at a POS someone can't sneak into your room and kill you, etc etc etc.
Less whining, more playing the stupid game...

I liked reading this. Can you elaborate on the bit where the pod pilot in question "accidently" forces a loss of comms during combat and wakes up in his/her clone vat courtesy of your friendly nieghborhood covops pilots?

I actually had an idea while writing this. I don't have anything to do at all tomorrow. So I think I have a bit of an idea to expand upon

I always pondered that it was an Emergency warpoff incase of the pilot losing conciousnesses, such as from several kinetic impact on the ship or a large amount of stress on the pilot, OR the pilot going to sleep.
and it disappearing from the game?!?
:) Entire ship shuts down to bare minimums, only the pods life systems so that is almost untraceable with current scanning technology.

Maybe they dont miss. Perhaps the Initial velocity of the round is so fast that the accelerometer is unable to activate the fuse on the projectile before it makes contact with the target's shields or armor an thus only deflects off of the ship instead of the rounds explosive directional charge shooting a jet of volitile high temperature chemicals to actually peirce the targets defenses? _______________________________________________ RuntimeError: ChainEvent is blocking by design, but you're block trapped.
