Saint Lazarus C R Y O	Posted - 2007.08.11 20:54:00 - [1] Okz so most of this will be obvious to you but to me (who's never been for teh use of killboards and thus dont know much about them) But I happened to come accross EvE-kb.com and ran a sreach on my name only to find to my utter surprise a stats page on me despite teh fact I've never posted a single mail on teh site. I cant stop others from posting loss mails but how can whoever runs this site plaster my name and stats all over teh interweb without ever asking my permisson? if you post a mail you're agreeing to some terms but as it is my char is all over a site I dont want it to be. Or is this a case of me having absolutely no say because technically its CCP's character and they've got permisson from them? >.> Cause in that cause I blame CCP, how can they just hand out char info/rights/whatever to whoever asks for it? dont we have any say what can be done with them outside of teh game? ------------------------------

No, we don't have any say. They don't hand out the rights to anybody, the rights are CCPs and they say killmails can be posted on killboards. There's nothing on the page other than info from killmails. ------

Using killboards one can easily gain intel on enemies, figuring out what systems they fly in, what ships they use, and even how they load out their ship. Its free intel for anyone who has the brains to use it. I'd frankly like to be exempt from myself being posted on killboards as I don't enjoy having what I fly, where I fly, and what I use to be known to the entire world.

Postings on a killboard only extend the amount of information that can be accessed by anyone at anytime.
