You are right in some points about Gallente being powerful but imho the CPU and Powergrid don't have much to do with it. Drones are more of a secondary weapon for me (even though i have alot of SP in drones), my primary damage and my primary weapons are usually blasters. The thing that makes the Gallente a lil on the strong side is imho that they can fit a nice gank-setup and can still use EW or tackle. Or they can fit a nice tank with EW / tackle and still be able to fit a full rack of blasters. This is the same for all other races except caldari. They can fit gank + tank but no EW or tackle without seriously ******* up their tank. Also the Gallente have the advantage that they usually fight withing Web and Scram range so they can make full use of their free mid-slots (which is a lil different with say Minmatar - if a tempest fights my mega within Web-Range then he's a gonner so this could also be looked at as a gallente-advantage). I think the best thing would be if CCP would make shield tank modules use lowslots (like armor) or maybe give us highslot-EW stuff so the trade-off of using EW is bigger (because atm on my domi i can fit free EW without any drawbacks).
