Quite a while ago I bought an improved cloak, stuck it on a ship to experiment with, then parked the ship up and forgot about it for a while. Now I actually need the cloak, and can't for the life of me remember which ship, in which station, in which system, it's fitted to!
So, my point? I think it's about time we had a 'modules' tab on all ships, not just the one that's currently being piloted. My cloak might even be in a container. So searchable containers in assets too.
Thanks. xxx

Organization is pretty sweet.
But you could just buy a new one, they're far from expensive.

I know, but it's the principal of the matter. It surely couldn't be that had to implement?

You need to examine Minmatar ships bro.
No kidding, I tried to Salvage one last night. Took me 20 cycles before the pilot convoed me and told me to stop it.

So if the code is already available to search a characters database, it would be childs play to add it to the game for us to search our own database and the database of the corp hangars if we have the rights to do so.
Being able to search for mods already mounted on ships as well as can contents and ships hold contents from any location would help tremendously. Some faction or officer mods may cost hundreds of millions of isk and cost as well as rarity means you're unlikely to buy another one anyway.

If you have that many ships, you can afford a new one, or if it's -that- expensive, you can keep track of it or die.

As far as I know you can repackage ships from afar, if you repackage a ship all the items in it, fitted, in the cargo hold or drone bay will pop out into the hangar and then you can search for it the normal way.
As far as I know this works for containers too.

Rigs shoot that idea down in flames.

meh? Tinfoil hats? So you are paranoid because they did find the stuff you lost and asked them to find it for you?
I mean, a GM should have some extra tools don't you think. Otherwise you can be a GM too and can do squath about any problem players ask ya.
Sjeezs, be glad they helped ya. It's not that they said: "it's not lost, you have it somewhere but nah, we won't tell you where it is as you're not one of our friends."...

AFAIK contracting a ship lists all modules and rigs fitted and items in the cargohold in the contract details before you need to confirm the contract. |
