Ok I am sure someone else has posted this and i am just a bit to tired at the moment to hunt the forums to see if there is such a thread.
anyway.. will there ever be a part of eve when we will be able to land on planets?
I think this would make thinks a little more interesting imo i could be wrong.
Also a way to navigate on a planet would be interesting.. ie: Planetx has 14 major cities each city has a shop or sorts.. you land in city Y and now want to go to city x to get there you would just point and click on a menu and a "subway of sorts" gets you there..
anyway as i said i am tired so if i have made no sense just shoot me. (not in space please)

that sounds good but what would you do on the planets sounds like a whole new game to me

Treat them like much larger stations, of course with tons of new functions that a station couldnt support.

Still confined to ships I'm sure, planetside stations only having different skins have been suggested by yours truly a few times already.

Very nice rendering Lomex, I wish it was possible to land on a planet, scout, even build mining station (like Mankind). It would add deep to the game

There's a feature in Shiva (or Kali if problem occurs) about moons :
It will be possible to use moons as ressources providers for station and so, it will be possible to manage them (Great Devs, am i wrong ? do i misunderstood something ?)

it would be great ! I don't hope to be able to build cities/fortress/factories like in Mankind but using stellar objects as moons is a good step ahead

Those pics look very nice Lomex :)
I think planets could effectively serve as extended stations of some sort, more features etc. The possibility to colonize and create settlements on planets & moons would be awesome.

If I remember correctly I read somewhere sometime long ago that all people that are going to use jumpgates in eve have been geneticaly modified to withstand the forces during the jump. That made them more sensitive to the typ of gravity that is on planets so those people can never walk on the surface of a planet again.
I may mix this up with some other games but I am quite sure that I read this in a cronicle during beta.
But no problems that you cant fix with new tech, like new genetic modifications so that we once can walk the planets again (sounds like expansionwarning to me).

if you owned planets you could mine minarales off it! you could also have an oxygen plantation to sell oxygen to stations, i loike station but tha air tastes of a mixture of acid, oil and Just add water SPROUTS! HELP!
