For a long time I had respect towards the work of some corporations like Red Dwarf Mining Corp and other 5th Column corporations for their efforts of protecting Molden Heath area from pirates and amarr activity.
Today this respect took another severe blow, when my friend and member of Cloaca Maxima corporation, Xianne Doroux, was attacked by podpilots DimiTrip and Inspector Recon (Both are supposed to be Pirate Hunters). Cloaca Maxima has operated in the area far longer than these, and formely it even had warm relationships with some of them. It has never done anything criminal towards people of that area, on the contrary, it has helped fighting Amarrians and other pirate scum on the region. I fought amarrians side by side with the lead of Einheriar Ulrich, Sarkos and other famous minmatar, yet this is the 'reward' I get from defending our right of existence as a nation.
As you can see, and as you know if you look my employment history, I haven't been in Cloaca Maxima for many months. Yet, after some conversation we had with the aggressors and their allies, they claimed that I was the reason why they attacked Xianne. I might've done questionable things in my life, but I have never ever attacked or pirated anyone in Molden Heath (or any other Minmatar Region). In fact, I've done a lot in past to help our people to fight Amarr grip. Amongst others, I've worked in Mishfahak and Oracle corporations, lived most of my career in Molden Heath, more precisely in Istodard.
The reason I post this on behalf on Xianne Doroux, is that I can speak freely for not longer being part of that corporation, and most likely my word is more respected than Xianne's, for I was the founder and long time CEO of that specific corporation. But once my reputation as a "pirate" grew, when I operated against amarrs and their allies in other soveirgnitys, I decided it is better for me to leave my corporation, because my bad reputation might endanger Cloaca's reputation. So I took what was mine, and left.
The reason for this whine is that corporations around that area would regonize that Cloaca Maxima is not pirate corporation, even it former members might've done things considered as acts of piracy.
Luckily, no ships was destroyed during the attack, but it certainly made damage in reputations.
Let's hope that this post will develop to a conversation that can correct the errors made.

That does indeed sound disturbing, I'd like to hear both sides of the stories though before trying to understand what exactly happened.

Zibun, old friend. I can asure you, I have known DimiTrip a very long time and the pilots in this incident would not seek to destroy an innocent vessel. There must be a miscommunication of information. It can happen when you need to keep track of thousands of pilots who visit Molden Heath. I suggest you talk directly to these fine pilots who have been protecting Matari regions for some time now. I'm sure it can be sorted amicably.
As for you being a pirate, well anyone in Amarr space killing Amarrians and those who support the Empire is a hero in my eyes.

Yeah, I've talk to DimiTrip earlier, and helped Inspector Recon and his gang once, and I've had good terms with them. But suddenly they seem to forgot all old good relationships and start shooting a friend of mine, that actually was on the corp I was earlier. This sounds to me like masquerading as a pirate hunter even when one is a pirate in reality. No offense, I'm sure they kill real pirates of Molden Heath aswell, and I'm sure tracking those pirates can be hard. And furthermore they may except me to turn mindless pirate myself. This however, doesn't mandate them to shoot a neutral corp.

ZIbun again id recommend speaking to them first before assumign they want to be pirates themselves thats a hard jumpt to make considering this is the first time ive ever heard of them shooting someone in such a manner perhaps diplomacy first accusations later...the word pirate is used far too liberally as it is soon we might as well just call everyone pirates in this god forsaken galaxy

This sounds more like an attempt to tarnish 5th's reputation rather then an attempt to get an explanation. If you want an explanation and/or an apology contact them directly rather then publicly.
I know the pilots of 5th tend to be a little triggerhappy at times but they've allways been reasonable if they made a mistake to compensate for any losses incurred.

Aye, as RK says, there's a tradition for reimbursing where reimbursement is due, as to Recon and DimiTrip, there's probably no people in MH I trust more. Kinda pointless to bring it up here though, as neither of them reads this section of GalNet afaik.

I have no motivation to tarnish anyone's reputation, I'm only bringing up the facts. I've been attack three times now, and its always been SMEGH and other 5th corps involved. Two times I've been apologized, two times I've accepted the apologies. This is third time, and before I pronounced anything here on GalCom, I talked them in person in Molden Intel. I received no apology, only mockery.
So this is only a public warning to all neutrals, they might forget that you're neutral and shoot you just in case.
If you don't believe me, I can only tell I have both damage- and chatlogs which I'll post to make my point, unless this talk won't get constructive.

I thought the point of the OP was to clear up potential errors made, but I see that's not the point (which is the wrong place to find any clearance on it anyhow). Good luck in your smearing campaign.

We do take all reports of neutral firing very seriously inside of molden heath. Regardless of what your intent is, knowing that such an action happened is always welcome and will trigger some internal investigations.
5thc RoE tends to be a bit more agressive than some of the other anti-piracy factions inside of Molden heath, and they also one of the least intrested in anti-amarrian efforts. inspector recon and his corporation are much the same. While this does occasionally cause incidents like this, they also are among the best at catching the real threats - they dont hesitate.
I do wish to point out that a corp or alliance does not have to be activly pirating inside of molden heath to become what we consider a valid target. If they even allow members to pirate that is sufficient reason, but typically diplomatic contact is initiated before a general hostile standing is called for. I personally do not know the specifics behind this incident or am I familiar with your old corp or current alliance, but would recommend anyone who is actually non-pirate and intend to hang around molden heath for extended periods of time to contact us to prevent these kinds of mistakes. (note we may not automatically give you a positive standing, that is reserved for active anti-pirate forces, but we can make note of it in our intel files for when the FoF question is raised)
and while we are putting in votes, I have every faith in dimitrip and fully back him.

Am I right in thinking he's still miffed about what happened in which case let is go and seek communications with them, this stuff happens quite alot all over Eve it-self.
Yes I know you feel hurt and your trust damaged but mistaks happen, true it dosen't fix things but it can be fixed if you comunicate with them Mt Ionic

Well ehm, since its being I as an issue here, it might be better me to say something. It was I who was shot at, not Zibun. I'm sure he means that it wouldn't be an issue if they've shot him instead of me.
I am not a pirate, my corp doesn't affiliate with pirates (see, Zibun left voluntarily) as his reputation as a pirate spread to our ears. My corporation and I should be neutral on the area, or an asset that can be used against pirates.
I wish that this misunderstanding will eventually be solved.

The incident is being negotiated about. It seems it was due intel failure and because of Xianne's close affiliation with me.
I might judged them bit harshly at first, but it tends to irk, when people which you used to help suddenly starts shooting at you or your pals.

No, you did not. I am not speaking for my corp or alliance here but 5thc are trigger happy fools who will fire at anything they have an excuse to fire at. They are a shoot first, question later, and until you bring things up with them over a public feed they will just smack you in local if they did something wrong.

Dang Pops a little harsh don't you think. It's just in the anti-pie biz sometimes being pro-active can lead to mistakes. They happen. It will get worked out. I am in MH all the time and it isn't like this happens on a consistent basis.

It took 5tch approx 5 hours to shoot at my corp, CaffCo, when we left nmtz. Im sorry, I hold grudges which Is why im bad at speaking for my current corp/alliance.

Dimitrip and friends are pirates. They may shoot pirates, but they also shoot neutrals. You don't become -5.0 or lower from the odd gank. So here's a little redemption for the op. He attacked me and my guys without provocation as well. Feel free to check our killboard for the rest of his "anti-pirate" friends we dealt with.

No he did not, but I can imagine he is loathed by some of his victims.
