I have a high sec research corp and wish to keep it's standings incase I want to deploy additional towers or move them.
All my chars in it have 0.0 security status and just the single default agent with a 10.00 standing.
I would like to move one char from my other corp into this corp BUT we have just noticed that its standings have changed. It now has a 0.1 security status and is now liked by corporation concorde at 0.10. This char did not run any missions or anything. All it did was kill the rats which attacked it whilst mining.
Will this effect my corp standings if this char joins the corp as this is something I would rather it didn't.
thanks

Security status is not taken into account, only faction standings. -------------------------------------------------- brakespear - the lowest common denominator |

If no one in your corp runs storyline missions for a week, your corp's standings will lock up, and the only way to unlock them is to have one of your corp mates run a storyline mission.
So having that guy with standings won't affect your corp's standings as long as you don't run storyline missions.

umm I have to disagree with that. Ratting does change your faction standing in the region you are hunting for both you and your corp. look at the chr sheet under security status... each kill gives 0.1 - 0.001. Granted, running story line missions increase it more dramatic,and failing them hurts more. I could be wrong, but atm I don't think so.

At present though it only shows the default agent that everyone gets and an entry for concorde under the corporation heading.
Currently, no faction heading appears for this char so im hoping that it might not have effected it.

so if whomever originally had the standing and anchored the tower has left... the faction->corp standings should already be "locked" unless one of the members runs a storyline mission, or fails a mission (also modifies faction standing).
~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |
