Hey all, I've heard from a number of people that they earn isk w/o doing anything. Was wondering how one would go about doing this? I presume its POS research? POS moon mining?
I know you would have to do some stuff, like hauling / setting up sell orders / etc..
So does anyone have the down-low on this?
The Beginning <-- crap quality, need to redo, sorry :( |

assumnig you're not talking about enslaving a bunch of teens in your basement to play eve for you...
research agents - once you get them, go prune the trees for goodies once in a while.
dividends - trick is finding shares that give good enough divs that you actually notice when one shows up in your wallet.
um, those are about the only things that come to mind which, once obtained, don't seem to require MUCH effort.
outside of that, place some really low buy orders, wait a long time for them to fill; then resell them at a bazillion percent markup. but that requires a sort of ongoing work-esque thing. |

Yah, sure.
Here's how it works.
Step 1. Find something that makes money and still coins it in while you busy elsewhere. Examples of this include [DELTED FOR SECURITY REASONS] or [DELETED FOR SECURITY REASONS].
Step 2. Do it.
Step 3. Shut up about it and hope the competition doesn't get too hot.
If you haven't got the intelligence to work out how to make ISK with a minimal investment of time and trouble, you don't deserve it.
Please feel free to ask questions if you do not understand.

In my mind, industry counts as making money for doing nothing, since it earns money at a rate appropriate to what a ratter could make if he spent his (spare) time doing nothing but killing BS (minus having to run from reds etc :P)
You spend 20 minutes working out whats going to sell good, half an hour buying materials, hauling them and kicking off the manufacturing lines, come back in a week, profit :)

Can you define "w/o doing anything"? How much time per week are you willing to invest in this?

Typically with "passive income" people actually mean passive. ie: nothing..
There are of course tasks that take an hour/week and make some isk.. There are other things (usually investments) that you just sit back and see the isk flowing in..
These don't have to be shares... and almost always require an investment.
Buy 10bil in for example FIN shares... and get 400mil/month passive income... try to sell the 10bil of shares if you want your investment back
Usualy passive income is used to cover expenses... (not to become rich, rather the other way arround, if you are rich you invest in passive income.. so you can play the game / ie: pvp.. without having to worry about losses)
also helps a bit in cashroll management.
Someone with 10bil. will stop mining/misioning.. and will buy ships (usually too expensive) and at some point the 10bil is gone.
Someone with 10bil that invests.. will have a budget of 400mil/month to pvp and usually will buy modules accordingly.. :)
hope this helps.

Naph's alive!
And nice post
I think the only completley passive income you can get is from shares, but you can make semi-passive income from building, R&D agents, pos moon mining, pos research, putting up buy orders then selling higher etc.
And when I mean semi passive, you need to put a bit of work into it, but not too much if you manage your time carefuly

run an ipo, buy a bunch of stocks with that, go afk for a year, come back, pick up the divs, refund investor iskies and you've made yourself a bloody fortune. unless the stocks are scams like what you'd be doing. in which case, oh well. |
