Not quite what you think it is hehe, but I found this site (well my brother found it) a few years ago. This guy makes to me, some of the best desktop backgrounds I have ever seen. Hes got a free gallery and lots of other stuff you get access to if you pay. I just use the free stuff as college = broke. Apologies if this has been posted before.

I found them both around the same time a few years back - amazing work.

blasphemy is good as well but sometimes a little too CG I find. the above site has CG wallpapers and some awesome photography ones as well
